So I finally got around to posting my RCL entries over on the Discord for the month and thought I'd come over here and update as well. First up is a group shot of everything I submitted in October (a little late, I know).

And then here's what I got done for November. I've been working through one of the add ons from the last kickstarter. It's the ghoul pit and some cultists and I was able to use those for the freebie and PC categories. Here's the PC, but I'm not certain the cultist can be posted here as she is mostly naked:

IMG_20211123_161530932_HDR.thumb.jpg.d869e340e9edcfbc6c65b8770bbd1bbc.jpg

And this is the only other November mini I finished. It's the Leucrotta from Bones V painted to look like a Thylacine and used for the monster category:

This fellow has yet to be posted but he's part of the 4+ group category. We settled on a theme of paint yourself as an adventurer. I don't consider myself much of an adventurer, but I do spend a lot of time in the woods looking at cool plants and fungus. So I rebased this guy from the "Encounter at Gallowgard" add on from the last kickstarter to look like he's crouching down to check out some funky mushrooms. Lose the sword and switch it for a soil probe and replace the adventurer's clothing with a rain jacket and a reflective vest and this is pretty much me doing what I do for a living.

And I managed to get a couple done for the quarterly categories as well. First is this Sugar Skull and Plinth I entered in the recent competition. I also used it for the bust category:

And this is the Narthalyssk Dragon (love Garrity dragons so much) I'm using for the large model category. This guy is hitting the table in the near future:

I've got my seasonal piece finished but am waiting to post it on the holiday it represents (national bartender's day, December 9), and am working on the second half of the 365 challenge. But other than maybe a PC or monster mini for December that's about all I'm planning on getting finished for the rest of 2021.

Those look fantastic @Thoramel!

My month hasn't been very productive with only two finished minis but I'm planning on making it up for it in December. This is my Stone Golem from Bones V, painted to look like he was carved from jade, or possibly malachite. Really looking forward to seeing how @Pochi and @Evilhalfling tackled this one.

As ever, @Humansquish finds minis that I've overlooked and I always have the best time painting them! This particular one is Giselle from this years Reapercon Swag Box> I'm particularly happy with this one as I think that it's my best blending since my body betrayed me earlier in the year.

Anyway, it's certainly been a lean month for finished minis so here's some of my work in progress pieces from the painting table. Thanks for looking everyone!

Here's some terribly lit pics of this months work on the RCL, featuring my efforts in teaming up with fellow forumites. The Avatar of Resilience(as a chubby unicorn!) is teamed up with @Humansquish, Scottish football supporting Dragondude with @Thoramel and Ghazgul with @Evilhalfling and @Pochi. I need to pick out some details, finish the bases and get a better lighting set up and I'll be done ::D:

Finished my last of the quarterly seasonal challenges recently and got that posted today. Almost missed it but Chaoswolf mentioned that today is National Bartender's Day over in the Random thread so I was able to get it posted. These are from the Mousling Tavern set:

I decided early on to find "holidays" for each quarter that I could match to the various mouslings. Here's the whole set... From left to right we have National Homebrew Day (a wonderful day if there ever was one), Buskers Day (a bit of a stretch as it only appears to be a thing in London), Bartender's Day, and up at the bar getting another beer is St Patrick's Day.

Cheers!

Im a bit late, but here are my finished figures from November.   My wife opened the Nativity Set - on December 15 when we decorated the house, and put up the tree.

so I have been a little late in putting them back togather for a group shot.

Part 2 of the nativity will show up in this months picture.

Wow! Everyone's stuff is looking fantastic!

Well, the year is drawing to a close(where did this year go to?) and it's time to start panicking about all those unfinished minis for the Challenge League. Here's all my collaborative minis for this month. First of all is my version of Western Sophie 03985, which is my duo with @Humansquish

32207444_DSCN75801.thumb.JPG.0cb981ebc352584fc9f20c6493f215b1.JPG

Group mini with @Inarah, @ManvsMini, @Thoramel, @Maledrakh and @Lt Flowbee. The theme was 'We could be Heroes', so naturally I picked a black furred catfolk swashbuckler from Bones 5

I also signed up for a Halloween themed group, led by the awesome @NomadZeke. I won't get points for this but I love this mini so much!

Finally, the mini that nearly broke me. Been painting it for two months and I'm still not happy with it. I call him Captain Chromatic or "Use all the colours and they won't notice the terribad blending" ::D: Hopefully he wont look too bad next to @Pochi and @Evilhalflings versions!

Time to try and finish all my own minis, which includes two more dragons :zombie: Thanks for looking everyone!

@Kuroneko

Captain Chromatic is amazing!

I love him a lot.

the only place that I notice a suspicious blend is on the wings (green to blue).  It reads perfectly everywhere else.

you hit all the edges of all the gem covered scales - something I just decided not to do... but now I cant remember why.

Superb paint work from everyone.  This is what I put forth as my challenge for December:

DSCN2674.jpg.0a73b479cc257f3f59d4682e0cdb529c.jpg

I think everything came out ok, and only ok.  RCL has challenged me to paint things I normally wouldn't, like the troll, but it severely limits the amount of time I can spend on anything.  Everything here could be better if I continued to fuss with it.  Except the ghoul queen which is just horrible in plastic.  Even with primer every time I touched her the paint came off.  Great sculpt, but not for Bones.  Lysette, likewise, great sculpt that deserves more time than she got.

This puts me at ~163 figures for the year.  In comparison I did 52 in 2020, and ~94 in 2019.
