Here's a kickstarter that I thought looked particularly cool - they're flat-based tiles with magnets that can be reconfigured anyway you want. The video in particular looks pretty cool. Already completely funded. Prices are a bit high and ultimately the system's not for me, but I thought perhaps some others might be interested. :)

Just based on the picture alone, I wonder how well these will work with Ettinstone.

Holy crap, they want C$35 to ship the C$95 set to the USA. ...Well, now that’s gone (early bird slots filled).

 

The next set up, the C$140 Wharf, is C$51 to ship. That’s insane. 
 

Glad I did Ettinstone. It was only $16 to ship 96 tiles (admittedly 2”x2”, rather than 3”x3”, but it looks like Ettinstone are thicker).

Yeah, it does cost a lot to ship. That's Canada for you (though I am surprised they didn't look at Chit Chats or another similiar service.
