I'll be starting on mine on wednesday. Has anyone come accross the wall of brambles and spell effects yet? 3 of mine didn't come with a base, and the wall of brambles didn't want to fit together quite right. Once I finish putting together the core set I'll sender reaper email about them and anything else thats messed up.

For every single one of my wall of thorns, one of the thorn pieces has a vine that's too long and makes it ridiculously hard to place that piece in the base. I glued 5 together and I had to twist that vine up, and then hold that piece down until it was set. The rest of the pieces were fairly easy to put together. I ordered 5 extra sets, so 20 extra pieces total -- not looking forward to putting together the rest. I saw someone else on the forum recommend that you just snip that long piece to make it fit, and I'm going to try that on the next batch I assemble.

Nice robes on the Grim Reaper there, @R2ED! I was also thinking of doing purple robes for him, so it's great for me to see yours for a reference! ::D:

I didn't work on Bones 5 minis today. Instead, working on this guy as a test model, using only black and white.

He looks a little washed out, but not terrible.  Tested doing edge highlighting, which didn't come out like i had hoped.  With this many new minis it takes the stress off of messing one up.

next person that finishes their stag or reaper should pick the next two.

Managed to finish the reaper, just a quick paint but I really like it all the same. I used the new darkreach shadows liner to prime it(a lovely blue grey-almost indigo liner that I'll probably use a lot), base coated in nightmare black with a touch of maggot white added for opacity in the highlights, followed with a glaze of nightmare black. The bone color is bathalian chitin with a wash of argax earth shade and a highlight of bathalian chitin and maggot white. The hourglass gave me the most trouble but I used bleached linen for some sand on the inside that I dont think came out right.

The stag needs some boiling to fit into its base, hopefully I'll get that done and painted tomorrow. Feels good to get the first mini finished!

If I'm understanding correctly and I'm the one to pick the next 2 models to choose from, I propose the following:

1. 1017 Townsfolk: Moneylender (the dude with the book and quill is the one I mean)

2. 1029 Basilisk

@billeecatsis that nmm work on the scythe? Nice touch on the sand.  I tried to do more like a glossy reflection on mine.  Bone color looks great, too.

@crowsandbones would you post a pic of the two you chose? I have seen a few of these spreadsheets that aren't lining up for what piece is the actual one.  I think it should be obvious, given the two you said, but safer to just show them.   Also your blue match on the robes to the wrappings worked well.   I tried using colors from the new batch of paints.  I tried ashen brown... hated it.  It's so thin!

The start of NMM work at any rate lol. I still need to fine tune the hour glass, and I want to use similar colors on the scythe, to make it look like a glass blade. We'll see how far I get.

@crowsandbones picked these:

1013 Townsfolk: Moneylender

1025 Basilisk

@R2ED We'll need to fix the shared spreadsheet because the numbers on that sheet don't match up to the actual KS reference numbers.
