He was fun to paint! I wanted to paint him in the classic green and gold of basillisks from mythology. Gave me a chance to practice some glazing as well.

I knocked out this guy this weekend as well. I got extra constructs, and am looking forward to painting him again with a different color scheme.

I couldn't get to the bookkeeper, but I'll paint him alongside the unseen servant and the wolf. Those two aren't too complicated to paint, and the bookkeeper definitely lands in the too-fiddly category for me.

I'm also working on these two meanwhile.

Got some actual time in with the brush this weekend, and it feels great. I finished the basilisk, got 90% finished with the stag, and got some of my base coats blocked out on the moneylender.  Here are the WIPs and I'm thinking about the 2 new picks... the floating dude is making me want to try a trick for clear minis where you start off with a coat of brush-on sealer before applying inks or whatever. I bought a bottle of Privateer Press's formula P3 Turquoise ink and I'm dying to trying it out.

Anyone know other useful tricks for clear minis?

@Hibouagreed that money lender looks great.  The thing that may seem a small detail, but caught my eye was the leather stressing. Nice work!

@crowsandbonesthere's a few things you can do on clear.   Depending on the effect you're going for, if you're wanting to keep the transparency, use a matte medium to "prime it".  It'll allow the next layer to bond.  I generally use FW inks for the transparent look and vibrant colors, but you could use paint as a wash too.

I actually skipped a few steps on the leather because I ran out of time.  For the next two weeks I am gonna try and paint up all my dread wolves.  I have 5 of various sizes.  My summer schedule should be letting up in a few weeks and allow for more paining time.

Took some bad pictures - I have to find a good place and rest my phone. I will try to get better photos for the next ones. I need basilisks in the desert to sneak up on my players -thus the color patterns. I finished the bookkeeper also, but I have no clue where he is hiding - he might have been put away while I was gathering stuff for ReaperCon. Or got vacuumed. Or went into the black hole that swallowed Mal'Drakar when I moved and now apparently my photo light box.
