Here's a crappy example of two things.  My colorblindness and my desire to push further than I should have.  

 

Firsrt, here's the shirt I had done.  Green right?  I did all the fade and highlight to it and felt it was coming right along.  That is until my daughter goes, "Dad in the picture his shirt is red."  Sigh...

 

So, after fixing his shirt, getting the skin and all the detailing in, I felt pretty good, right?  No, why not push the skin a little further and give it a red wash to bring some life into it.  Sigh... 

 

 

Oh well.  I'm done for the night.  I'll come back to save you later Robin.  For now, you're just washed out.

I have made some more conversions for the game Rangers of Shadow Deep. These started as Merrow creatures and I converted them into Humpbacks for the expansion Dungeons Dark

So I've spent the last 2 weeks since Reapercon trying to clean off the pile of stuff that got dumped on it when I got home. (Has it only been 2 weeks? Wow...)

 

I picked up two more Adventure Cats: 

 

I have a tray of assorted figures, some I took to the con, some I painted, some speed paints, paint and take, and a paint by die roll figure to clean up.  

 

 

This is one of the pieces I did in the Bones Conversion class, an improvised barricade.  It uses parts of the trebuchet, pirate ship, catapult, and a starship door.  I made 3 of these, all slightly different.

Was testing fade and blending. Also this cool rust effects stuff.

This one was a do-over and I'm still not happy with it.  I like the highlights and hair blend, but the shirt, metal, and cloak are meh.

Yeah, the hair and cloak look great. The metal reads as all the same, same color, same brand new silver metal. 

 

Finished this guy for RCL.  Relatively happy with it.  Had trouble getting good coverage with the white.  Don't know how many layers of orange I had to put down.  Feel like I could keep painting those two colors for another month and it still wouldn't be smooth.
