Thanks!

Got his hood done (Hexed Lichen > Black Wash > Hexed Lichen > Hexed Lichen/2 brushtips of Off-white).

Made a start on his robe with a basecoat of Sick Green and a Black Wash.

Hopefully nothing will freak me out today and I can get some painting done.

Finished his robes with layers of Sick Green and Sick Green/Ochre Yellow plus some Bonewhite stitching.

Did his tail rings and buckles in Bronze, did some straps in Brown Leather > Brown Leather/Bonewhite, added some Olive Green to this for his knife handles and gave them all a nice Brown Wash.

Just the armour and base to go.

Painted the base Cold Grey, added some Steel Grey to pick out a couple individual paving stones, drybrushed Bonewhite, washed in Brown Wash and I'm all done:-

Balmonoth is part of a Rat Clan raiding party, preferring to be silent and stealthy, he has become surprisingly skilled at throwing knives with his tail.

Next up is the Champion.

Love the sneaky rat!

Thanks! I'm pretty happy with him.

Made a small start on the Champion:-

4GlT1bv.jpg

Did the bony bits (Iraqi Sand/Bonewhite > Brown Wash > Iraqi Sand/Bonewhite > Iraqi Sand/Bonewhite/Off-white).

Also did the remains of his gloves and boots (Red Leather > Red Leather/Bonewhite >Brown Wash, with the soles of the boots in Leather Brown).

His trophy poles were based in Red Leather, given a wash of Dry Rust and drybrushed with Orange Fire.

Two of the skulls got Cold Grey/Ghost Grey hair, the other got Leather Brown/Ochre Yellow hair, then they all got an Off-white drybrush and a Brown Wash.

Gonna start on all that armour next.

Painted his armour in Pure Black/Oily Steel, with Oily Steel highlights and a Blue Wash. Unfortunately I'd forgotten how thick my Blue Wash is, so I redid the Oily Steel and gave it a Black Wash to reclaim the shading. Still remains surprisingly blue.

Then I did the decorations (Brassy Brass > Brown Wash > Brassy Brass > Polished Gold > Sepia Wash).

Will probably get his helmet finished next.

Love me some Undead!

Coming along fine!

Thanks! I wish he wasn't lent forward like his is though, makes him hard to photograph.

That's the newest version of Krell, isn't it? He's looking good so far.:winkthumbs:

Thanks!

Yes it is, or at least was (he lost named character status a while ago).

Did the Mohawk bit of his helmet (Red Scarlett/Bloody Red > stippled Fire Orange > Red Wash > a very light drybrush of Fire Orange) and the horns (Ochre Yellow > Iraqi Sand > Bonewhite > Sepia Wash).

Cape next, and then all the various furry bits.

When I need to pics from a mini that leans forward like that, I put it on a little wooden plinth and then take the pic.

I will have to give that a try next time I need a shot of his front.

I love your painting methods, and the minis look so good!

Thanks!

Finally made some progress (Haven't been feeling too perky this week):-

hZVmmMZ.jpg

First, I painted his cape (Scarlett Red > Black Wash > Scarlett Red > Scarlett Red/Ochre Yellow), the inside is the same with a dot of Sick Green mixed in.

aLT2ocp.jpg

Then I painted the furry section of said cape. This was a base of Leather Brown/Ochre Yellow, then Drybrushes of Fire Orange/Ochre Yellow and Off-white/Ochre Yellow and a Sepia Wash.

I was going to do all the furry bits the same colour, but decided it would be a bit much, so the rest is going to be grey fur, which I'm doing next.
