Metally bit done.

The axe head and pointy shield thingy started with a base of Gunmetal Blue, the chainmail and spiky shoulder bits got a base of Gunmetal Grey.

They all then got a coat of Oily Steel, Black Wash, Oily Steel, Chrome and a final Black Wash.

Skulls next.

Finally back at this!

r5ZJcQ3.jpg

Painted his skull collection (Bonewhite/Iraqi Sand > Brown Wash > Bonewhite/Iraqi Sand > Bonewhite/Off-white > Sepia Wash)

Also did the skulls on the base, they're supposed to be floating in lava but that just makes no sense to me.

Painted his boots, axe handle and arm wraps (Leather Brown/Scarlett Red > Leather Brown/Scarlett Red/Ochre Yellow > Brown Wash).

Also did the soles of his boots and his belt (Same as above but no Scarlett Red).

And some Brassy Brass bits.

Just need to finish his base and another one is done!

Great job painting these figs! A lot of fun variety and models in here, too. I especially like the skaven assassin, and the wight champion.

Thanks!

Finally managed to finish Laserian:-

8ZCI6Ny.jpgeiqgRCl.jpg

A mercenary by trade, years of beserker rituals and potions have left Laserian's mind trapped in a permanent state of rage.

Not sure who is next in the queue, been struggling to get in a painting mood lately.

Thanks guys!

Still not painting as much as I'd like, but at least I've made a start on the next one, Fahime:-

i2guc65.jpgKW99QAy.jpg

Fortunately, her face does not look anywhere near as bad as I thought it would (Just could not keep my hand steady painting her lips).

Her skin is a base of Rosy Flesh, with a Flesh Wash, highlights of Rosy Flesh and Rosy Flesh/Light Flesh (added some Scarlett Red to this for the lips) and then some thinned Rosy Flesh glaze.

Hair is next.

Hair!

Started with many layers of Fire Orange/Ochre Yellow, then a Sepia Wash, then more Fire Orange/Ochre Yellow, added a bit more Ochre Yellow and then added a drop of Off-white.

Painting her crown next.

Lots of metallics today.

Painted her crown, shoulder and shin pads in Orchid Purple, with a Black Wash and highlights of Orchid Purple and Orchid Purple/Chrome.

The blades of her daggers and a weird spiky bit on one of her boots were painted the same but with Oily Steel.

Finally, the trim on her shoulder/shin pads, dagger handles and armoured parts of her bra and thong were done in Brassy Brass, with a Brown Wash  and highlights of Brassy Brass and Brassy Brass/Polished Gold.

Continuing to have trouble "staying in the lines" painting this one, but she's getting there slowly if messily.

She's coming along very nicely. :winkthumbs:

Thanks!

Painted her loincloth and thong (Hexed Lichen > Black Wash > Hexed Lichen > Hexed Lichen/Ghost Grey > Hexed Lichen glaze), made a bit of mess of her skin again, so had to re-paint some of it again.

Looking forward to getting this one off the table and no longer having to fight with her.

Venomous Flowers by PrintYourMonsters.  These are 3d resin prints.  Of course, they might also be only harmless spring flowers on some sci-fi world.

The smallest one is a bit over 1" across, the largest is taller than a humanoid figure.  Overall I've been very happy with the Plants and Rocks files.

Wanted to continue working on my Underworld stuff, but didn't fancy the last two minis I had left in the previous thread, so thought I'd roll them into a new one.

This time we've got 10 randomly chosen minis, the two dudes from the last thread and the whole Sea Elf team (They felt too fragile to pack away after I built them).

Here we have Cyrille and Celine (A pair of Elven Peacekeepers) and Snoz a Goblin Scout with his wolf Fang.

This set consists of Zellotl (Lizardman Warrior), Freshly Awake (a newly risen Skeleton), Frilna (a companion beast to the Fey Elves), Sorcha (battle-hardened Mercenary) and Ailithir (Evil Knight).

Yrkill and Jafari (from the previous thread) plus their companions Sigmundur and Sethos (because someone or something is determined to have me paint these particular teams). Sethos isn't an Underworlds figure but is a matching Cultist from the OOP Warhammer Quest:- Silver Tower game on an old resin base I found.

And this is the Sea Elf team.
We've got Gaelin (he's a Fish), Tanjaya (the Warrior at the back), Indra (a Summoner), Surya (a Harpooner with no eyes) and Orym (he's a Crab).

      Making a start on Sorcha:-

Painted the furry collar on her cape.
It's a base of Cold Grey with a Black Wash and the drybrushes of Cold Grey, Ghost Grey and Off-white (Only on the upper shoulder bits).

Not sure if I should paint her head next or the armour that's close to it, either way I think I'll make a mess.

Taking a hiatus on the Mocking Beast.
Trying to gain some victory in numbers on my Bonesium Horde.  I have completed the beetle swarms, spider swarms, and skeletons without WIP.

I’m going to do the goblins now.  I plan two batches: one yellow/ochre, and the other tangerine.  Some nice “non-Greenskins.”

Several of these required boiling.  Some are still leaning.  The spears are straighter.  One of these was the beneficiary of a weapon swap.  I had given Danar, Male Assassin 77030 his shield for a spiked shield.  In return, we have a dual wielding goblin!

Presenting the Swamp Orc Standard Bearer, he's part of one of the newer factions in Games Workshop's Age of Sigmar range.

Really happy with this one and I had a lot of fun painting all his chunky detailing!

Any Spaceport bar, where hard-bitten adventurers gather, will have a regular willing to regale strangers with tales of Lady Vulnavia's exploits, and most of the tales contain a reason behind her always veiled face. Is she secretly an exiled alien princess, or was she badly scarred duelling the King of the Space Pirates? Only the Lady knows and she's not telling.

Presenting Lady Vulnavia, woman of mystery and leader of the Starstriders. She was part of the (now OOP, I think) Killteam:- Rogue Trader boxset from Games Workshop.

Not one of my best paintjobs, but I'm still pretty happy with how she turned out.
