These were chosen for painting as I needed the tongue-throwing one for a trio in the Reaper challenge league. So I painted the pair of them and entered the one with the tongue.

They are on 50mm bases. I think maybe I should have used more gloss varnish to make the skin also look wet and slimy.

 

There is a type of frog called "Pac Man frog". the similarity to Pac-Man is not just that it is yellow...If you ever have seen a frog eat, you know that they are voracious feeders and without mercy to whatever they choose to chomp down on, whether a fly, a bird or another frog of the same size.

Adventureres are the perfect morsel. Both chewy and juicy. A filling snack. Yum. Yum.

Very cool colorations!  I think they look just fine without being slimy.  Sometimes too much gloss makes something look shiny instead of wet.

I've been working on a bunch of frogmen and am finally nearing completion.  Maybe I'll grab my copies of these frogs and paint them up as pets.  I also have a bunch of cheap plastic frogs from the dollar store that need to be spruced up.  Just can't decide if I want them to be swampy or ice-toads.
