Mythic Battles: Ragnarok

Recommended Posts

I backed their original Mythic Battles: Pantheon. Good miniatures.

IIRC, Mythic Battles: Pantheon core sets in the KS, and possibly some expansions in the PM. Expansion reprints were difficult because printer required a minimum number, and Monolith wasn't sure how many sets backers would want. Also, let me know how their fulfilment has been going. (Not to be confused with their former partner, Mythic games.)

If anyone wonders, the Jomsvikings were mercenaries.

Very well trained and disciplined. and they staid bought until the end.

What they have to do with Ragnarok, though, I have no idea. They're not mentioned in the Older edda...

I'm quite interested ... but I'd have to check how many projects Monolith has not yet delivered (I'm prone to confuse them with Mythic ...).

Their last MBP was a couple months late. Both Batman KSs were basically on time. Only one I know of that is outstanding is Conan, which is being produced right now and will also be a couple months late. Overall, I would say Monolith are much more timely and reliable than Mythic. They are also one of the most careful companies when it comes to overpromising in the heat of a campaign or getting carried away with stretch goals.

I’m very much looking forward to this KS. I love Viking stuff.

I went hard in on the Conan KS last year, getting a King pledge, and all the big box expansions, plus several other add-ons. I’m not at all put off that they haven’t delivered yet; it is the age of Covid, after all. I know stuff is in production; it’ll get here when it gets here.

Thanks for the heads up on it’s start date.

Cool!

But, they haven’t actually said for sure, is that correct?

Would surprise me if it was anything different. For board games, resin seems to be seriously niche (KDM) and metal is unheard of. But no, I haven’t heard officially. We will know for sure on Monday though.

Before the known ages, the ancient gods, who were traveling through time and space, between galaxies and systems, between planets and moons, finally reached this small blue planet and its light gray moon. Millions of years ago, searching for the force on the dark side of this moon, they found the crystals that emitted enormous energy.

They took it with them and returned to the blue planet. With the use of the power from other dimensions they try to warp the crystal and use it for their own dark plans.
It quickly turned out that the crystal emitted too much power, a power that did not harmonize with the forces of the Ancient One. The symbiosis caused conflict and damage to the ancients. The warped crystal had been abandoned by them here... and for millions of years, it had lain, covered by layers of earth and sand in the darkness and silence...

      Hi.
Greetings from Andrzej (Ater), Jakub (MiniaturesArtTeam), and Pawel  (PJG_sculptor). For some time we were working together on something on the side which finally became a big miniature project. We plan to put it together in a board-battle game!

But let's take small steps and start gently. In our first project, we want to offer you some miniatures from the world which were shown to us in the dreams by one guy, who calls himself Cthulhu (we know... it is quite weird, but the dreams were really cool).

Inspired by these visions, we create a new universe in the dark, steampunk/dieselpunk climate. Now we want to show you our project and we cordially invite you not only to participate in the project itself but also to create it. Please, share your thoughts and opinions with us! Please come closer, sit down and hear a story about the Crystocracy.

Another KS by Titan Forge. I have to admit that I haven't played Bloodfields yet, but I like the minis.

I believe these are inspired by Terry Pratchet's Discworld Guards, although I'm biased towards Paul Kidby's art.

      Story
After the estate of one Fomo Barrowblight (who many moons ago, and with heavily laden bags, had said he was just off for a morning walk, never to return) was sold at auction, there came to light a strange scroll that appeared to be a map of the final resting place of a lost tribe of halflings.  These cousins lived down in the scorching Southlands, amidst endless dunes that had buried whole cities and civilisations.
The newly elected (and so still very enthusiastic) Halfling Town Council had organised an expedition to make contact with their fellow halflings, with the aim of swapping some stories and recipes, and who knows, perhaps even coming back with some interesting new cakes.
And, after many great perils and travails, the expedition found itself in a mysterious location known as 'The Valley of the Things'.  Here, recipes in strange hieroglyphs were marked on tomb walls,  guarded jealously by High Priests and long mummified pastry chefs.
The expedition takes time to assuage the fears of the High Priests that they are here to steal the sacred recipes and make formal diplomatic relations.  But Fomo Barrowblight and another mysterious figure seem intent on stealing the recipe to the sacred pie and have already gleaned some of the ingredients...
      To the Mummy's Tomb!
Introducing a series of  Eight Fantasy Miniatures in 28mm scale from a halfling expedition to the burial grounds of their cousins, in the desert southlands.
        Halfling Town Council Five
The latest elected Halfling Town Council, has been responsible for launching the expedition to the distant Southlands, as always, it is made up of eight different townsfolk from all walks of life.

I've already pledged for the whole set, why haven't you?
