Well. Figured I'd share this on here, seeing this is pretty much where my time goes to right now :)

My son Nero was born on 9-2-2021 and is today exactly a month old :) On the pic he was about 2,5 weeks.

Kan een afbeelding zijn van kind en boek

Excellent 1:1 sculpt there! Lovely freehand on the cloth and the skin tones are exquisite!

In all seriousness though, congratulations! He's adorable

Monday, March 8: I miss seeing you lovely folks in person, but what are some positives about virtual conventions?

Didn't have to lug my stuff from NYC to the airport to the hotel.

Didn't have to deal with security theater.

Didn't have to worry about my entries into the painting contest getting damaged on the way

Congrats! Mine is 5 months old, and yeah, they suck all your time! But in the best way.

Pretty much what everyone else has said, but you know what. I'd take it to have a in person Con now. Hopefully as the year goes along we (the world) can finally climb out of this & are better for it.

Tuesday, March 9: What's worse, peanut butter in the jelly jar or jelly in the PB jar?

(Froggy)

Jelly in the PB jar, but how hard is it to make sure the knife is clean(ish) when you move to the other jar for elf's sake...

Peanut butter in the jelly jar. If it's jelly in the peanut butter jar you look at it and immediately know it's just some jelly. But when it's the PB in the J jar you look at it and think "Is that mold?," "When did I open this?," "Does this smell rotten to you?" Then you go ahead and eat it anyways and spend the next several hours wondering if every little feeling is the beginning of food poisoning hell.

I make homemade jam. Putting peanut butter or any kind of crumbs in it is blasphemous. Use a spoon and put it on your toast. I'm not as gluten sensitive as some, but be a good human.

Does anyone remember the sparkly ketchup fad? Coloured ketchup? My grandma thought we kids would love it. We were 14 and 16 and threw it in the garbage.

Peanut butter anywhere, since it gives me a rash.

Seriously though, I use a clean utensil for nut butter (usually sunflower seed) and for jam so cross contamination never happens.

I remember the purple ketchup. Tried it once, it tasted off. It was a huge flop that didn't last long. As for glitter ketchup, that is obviously yet another one of evil W.O.O.F. machinations.

I can forgive a contaminated PB jar (toast crumbs are not unknown).

A contaminated jelly jar will result in mysterious biochemical interactions and create new unsavory lifeforms that may or may not be where goblins come from.

Basically, I've had jam still in the jar spoil before, but not peanut butter.

The rules: as they were last month (in addition to all regular forum rules) except where I sneakily changed them:

      1. Every day, or so (unless I am out or ill or something) I will post a question. †
1.5. Should I be unable to post a question for the day, a crack team of deputy quisitors, former quisitors, and random forum members are all chomping at the bit to step in and post one... ††
      2. In theory there is a 24 hour span to answer that question before the next question is posted.
2.5. (Rule 2 is the most frequently ignored rule.)
      3. Questions are going to be posted sometime before 1 AM Reaper time (US Central).
      4. Everyone is encouraged to suggest future questions to be posted via PM to Talespinner or Morihalda…
      5. You do not have to answer every question to play...
      6. If a question is TMI or N/A simply wait for the next question.. ..or post that you decline to answer (clues regarding why can be fun...unless TMI).
      7. Weekend questions may take the form of two or three day quests, starting on Friday or Saturday.
      8. Pix always welcome.

The first question will need to be posted after a brief (10 minute) pause to foil the merging of posts.
The footnotes, because I can't resist doing †††footnotes:

      † I will aim for 0600 Reaper/Nottingham time.
††  If subs and backstops could wait until 11AM in Reaper/Denton's timezone to see if I remember.
      ††† …because I re-remembered how to do the dagger ( † ) symbol.
