Monday, March 1: Mori dons her Robes of Quisitorial...ness! What are your "Monday Best" clothes? If you work from home now, have they changed at all?

I wear what’s comfy. I don’t work from home, but when taking care of multiple infants, comfy is best. So loose yoga pants and a t-shirt.

Also, you don’t want to wear nice clothes with babies, because they get snot and puke and sometimes pee and poop on you. Big no thanks for nice clothes.

I've just started working from home, but keep a level of professionalism considering Teams/Zoom meetings are frequent. So clean pants and a clean shirt appropriate for an engineer working alongside clients in industrial environments. So nothing on the shirt like slogans or that seem to promote this and that. So a regular button shirt fits the bill.

The only real difference is that my shirt may not necessarily be tucked in, and I'm wearing my slippers instead of shoes.

Usually it'd be black slacks and a button down shirt for work. Now? Jeans and a tee shirt or just my PJs, depending on whether I'm going out for more than to let the corgi do her business out by the curb.

if I was spending Monday in the office then it's khakis and a polo. If I was in the field though it would be jeans or field pants depending on the weather, t shirt, and either mud boots, hip or chest waders.

Since working from home it's always jeans and a t shirt. I still try and keep up my normal workday routines. I don't really want to get to the point where just spending the whole work day in PJ's is acceptable. I'll admit that, at least occasionally, the work day starts with me in bed answering emails on my work tablet from under the covers. But it always gets to the getting up and acting like a functional adult stage.

Work is home, and it can be a bit messy so it tends to be casual, like jeans and flannel. Although with socializing and shopping being cut back the bathrobe is seeing a lot of use.  There's no longer any reason to start the day early.

Shorts and t-shirts, most of the time.

I've become slothsome and disgusting after a year of casual dress. I hate it, it's unprofessional and everyone looks sloppy. Such is life now. I tried to keep up the suits but even I threw my hands in the air after working a couple months in such a slobby and unprofessional environment.

Anyway. In a normal world, I wear a suit to work. I love wearing suits. I go with whatever strikes my fancy, I usually pick the shirt I want to wear that day and build around that color/style.

Now I just grab a t-shirt and try to match my mask to my flannel. Gah.

I didn't realize how disgusted I'd become with the whole thing. Time to renew the effort to wear suits again.

Occassionaly I have 37kg of Boxer Dog on my lap, I don't know if that counts as some sort of plaid..

I believe that counts as a blanket

Plaid blankets are a thing. Plaid is a woven pattern. But Brutus really is not plaid, he's more of a modern art design.

He counts as a self-propelled, heated, blanket.

I do, and they have not.

(I am very much the polar opposite of a fashionista…)

Same as every day. Henley and slacks.  I retire from home so no change for 5 years 1 month.

Retired as well. When I worked it was Carhartt shirts, jeans, boots and a kevlar vest and duty belt. Now that I'm retired, Carhartt shirt, jeans and boots. Yeah, I am really imaginative.

I was absolutely thinking of your snazzy suits when I made this question haha.

I'm gonna save up some money this summer and slowly start building up a proper wardrobe through purchasing or sewing! I'm still wearing tshirts from 13 years ago >_> there are usually just other things that come first.

Hard to fault comfortable, utilitarian clothing that tends to last a while...
