Monument Hobbies Pro Acryl Paint issues

Recommended Posts

Has anyone experienced issues with pro acryl paints when used with a brush?  The paint claims to go down smooth but for me is seems to create a grainy texture or seems to like curdle after it is put down on the mini surface.

Grainy, can mean it is not shaken/stirred enough.

You can try to mix a little water in it.

If it's very old paint then it might be time to buy a new pot/bottle.

Did you wash and prime the model?

Shake it a bunch. Fresh out of the bottle they are very friendly to use. No issues. How much paint are you putting on the brush? Overloading it, with many brands, can cause chunkiness. They don't last as well on a wet palette as Reaper paint does however - reuse and on-palette mixing will be grainy. So I'd recommend ProAcryl for just fresh outta bottle use.
