Burrows & Badgers; The Dark, the Devout and the Heroic

Hey everyone, we've got a new Kickstarter for more Burrows & Badgers anthro minis starting a week from today. So I thought I'd start a placeholder thread now, so I could post a link to the 'Remind me' page.  This one's been a long time coming, thanks to Covid and Brexit messing things up, but we're finally back on track... ::D:

Anyway, proper pics and stuff once we actually launch!

stay safe,
Michael

You're calling the bat 'Noctule, Bat Necromancer'?

(checking your Twitter for December)

But you already have a 'Noctule, Bat Necromancer' as BB44...

Please can't we get a non-stereotypical Bat?

Bellydancer would work nicely...

(Se Paul Kidd's Fangs of K'aath for a good reason why)

Yeah, I may have griped about that way back in the KS with Noctule back then...

Excellent sculpts and excellent service. I’ve scaled way back on KS after realizing how finite storage space is. Burrows and Badgers is one of my few remaining insta-backs. Really looking forward to the next batch.

Thanks Tasso! Greatly appreciated.  :)

Well, it has to fit into the background of the B&B game; and within the background, and based on a Noctule bat's Stat line, magic users are really the ideal fit for them. So it's what most people will want.
A bellydancer doesn't fit in at all, TBH... I'm not really familiar with Fangs of K'aath, but a quick Google of images suggests that bellydancers would be part of that background, so, not out of place. Whereas they wouldn't work for B&B.

She's not really a bellydancer...

She's a storyteller(that brings into life a completely different magic; your imagination) and later a harem girl and eventually a Princess.

The books are great reading.

Illusionist might be a possible line?

But any magic line besides Necromancer would be appreciated.

@Rob Dean

Storage space?

Can't you just fill the attic or something?

That's where I keep most of my unpainted minis...

Well, this bat is just wearing a robe and holding a staff - frankly it can be any kind of magic user you like! Nobody's tied to using them any specific way... I'm sure they'll turn up in warbands using all kinds of different magic types.

Thanks, Redambrosia!

The project's definitely gone well, which is really appreciated after the last year's total lack of trade shows and events... it's all too easy for a game to drop off the radar without that kind of exposure, so it's good to know people are still interested!   :)

Here's some painted pics of a few of the undead beasties...

There's a Kickstarter Update explaining how I painted the Mist-ghasts here, if you fancy a look. They were pretty easy to do, TBH! :

I really wanted to back this one, but alas, those prices are way more then I want to spend. Considering I was really only going to back for a few minis vs factions. I'll look for retail when these come out.

Yep, if you only want a couple of them, getting them from the webstore when they get released is the best option!

Anyway, Green Knight, foxy style:Dsc_0409.jpg

I'll have to wait until they reach the store due to low finances right now (partially my fault due to forgetting, partially due to being on EI meaning I have a smaller hobbying budget to work with).  Not too too worried though, since this means I can then add them in to the starter warbands that are on my "pick up soon" list..  Even if currency conversion is a wee bit painful at the moment ($1.73 CAD for every GBP)

Came across a Kickstarter from CMON's RPG publishing arm (Didn't know they had one) for a RPG about various Fairy Folk living in an abandoned mansion.
Not a RPG player myself, so I can't comment much on the game, but it does use special dice which seems a bit limiting:-

There is a link to some quickstart rules on the page to have a look at though.

My interest is in the set of minis (It is a CMON Kickstarter after all):-

Unfortunately, I can't get the figures without also pledging for the RPG at least at the PDF level, so I've got this on remind while I ponder if the minis are worth the extra $30.

Scale 75 is expanding their line of artist tube paint and inks. More general colors, some more specialized inks (apparently matte ink), and fluorescent paint tubes - that actually glow under black light.
Bonus for folks who have previously backed their Kickstarters too.

A town.  I passed on their last one and will probably pass here as well.  IIRC the prior campaigns ended up in the late pledge section of MMF.
