The Sun Bird, from golden Heliopolis! Lovely work. That blue altar slab is a great contrast piece, too.

Thanks! The Altar is part of the Photobackdrop I did earlier ( Temple of Aphophis)

Wow! He looks amazing!

Thank you!

I was inspired by a guy on Youtube who painted a Lava Hound, I figured I could use that technique for a Phoenix.

That is a really neat paint job. Someone has upped his game this year.

Thank you so much!

I paint for fun and display, so I'm happy to learn and improve a little.

Glad you like it!

He's hot (pun intended). Lovely cooling lava effect. Your setting is splendid too... lends itself to so many stories.....

Thanks!

It was fun to try this!

And I love stories so I hope people get inspired by the scenes and make some up.

Great work, I love how you painted it and your display is amazing, perfect to take pictures of thematic models. This model reminds me of the Raptorans. Have you heard of them? It's a race of humanoid avians introduced in D&D supplement Races of the Wild. One of the cool things about them is that they can use footbow to shoot arrows with their clawed feet while flying.

Thanks for the kind words!

I didn't know about them, I don't play the Games, only paint and make up stories.

They sound cool, I would like a pose like that, flying and shooting at the same time.
