So the last ReaperCon I attended was 2014. That ReaperCon 1/2 the con was at the store and 1/2 was at a hotel. I am sure a lot has changed since then.

What are some of the things that have changed?

What has stayed the same despite the growth?

It's no longer at the factory, only at the convention hotel.  The gamer contingent is much larger.  Swag is going to be mailed in advance to badge holders.   (It doesn't feel like swag now, just a regular purchase from the store).  Vendor area last time was larger, no idea what they will have this year.  I expect there will be virtual content this year.

Has it been that long ago??? Wow time flies!! Good to see you back again, if your coming back.

Yah the biggest change is, factory is only used for tours & metal bin shopping now. The Con hotel is really nice too, almost too nice for a group of mini painters/gamers. At least there isn't a time limit on when games stop now. Other then the size of attendees & venue, really nothing has changed. People are still pretty friendly, everyone is still there for 1 thing at least, Reaper Miniatures & forgetting the rest of the world for 4 days.

The blast chiller classrooms are a thing of the past. I cannot stress this change enough as a positive.

The basic experience of hanging out with fellow hobbyists and taking classes has not gone away. It's a bit different to do it in a hotel ballroom rather than the factory, but not unrecognizably so.

More vendors with a wider range of products.

Many, many more people.

More varied and interesting swag; and lots more ribbons.

Much better accommodations ... either at the Con hotel or nearby.

More classes with more topics; but classes are more difficult to enroll in because of the demand.

Better eating options nearby.

Denton is much easier to drive in and out of than going further in to Dallas.

All and all, IMHO, RC has gotten much better.

The vendor list this year has a nice selection of folks on it. Tickets were said to be limited this year to a 1000, not sure if that has changed. Can’t remember where I read that either. 2019 had almost 1600 attendees, and 2018 had under 1100, 2017 I think had less than 900.

2019 was a great RCon, I’m looking forward to being there this year. DragonCon is only a hour away from me, but RCon is much more fun.
