Since I quite recently have acquired a real, actual, grown-up salaried job, my vacation days are going to be quite limited for...quite awhile. So as much as I'd like to go on a Most Epic Road Trip, I think in the interest of time I'll have to fly this year. :(

Job = good!

Insufficient Vacation for Roadtripping = not good!

 I feel I should ask; should we make a note of dropping by for lunch? And, would you like our assistance with Hyuge Dragon Transport again?

There's a better than average chance our path will lead us through your neck of the woods, either way. ^_^

Thst would be lovely! :wub: You can see our new place (it's only a couple miles from the previous one, not hard to find), and we can do foods.

I'll have to think about whether I'm bringing Ma'al this year or not; I'm hoping to have a smaller example of LOOK SHINY done by then. However, if my entry plans work out, I might request a ride for a large aquatic tentacle monster from space. :upside:

I wanna take another shot at riding this year if you don't mind a tag-a-long.

You are welcome to also stop by for foods! If we time things right, we could all do lunch together. ^_^

Don't mind at all! We might snag on the scenery occasionally - seeing stuff is On The List - but I sort of expect pauses for leg-stretching and whatnot.

Yup, we're doing this again.

Anyone else who's planning to drive may feel free to chime in; we'll be rolling down from Washington, but wherever you're coming from, welcome to post!

More details as plans evolve, of course.

Our wagon will be on the road, but likely a different one than yours.  Most of the route, at least.

We enjoy a good road trip and look forward to the drive to Denton.  It's 16h for us without stops from the eastern midwest.  We'll break it up into 2 days - first leg after work Tuesday, driving through the day Wednesday to be onsite in time for the meet and greet.  We've had a couple of different formats going home - one year we did it in one shot (never again!) and in 2019 we departed after the Auction and made it as far as Tulsa before finding a hotel.

This year I'm using the trip as the milestone wherein I need to have a new vehicle.  Will be our shot to break it in 'right.'

I'll be driving down from Iowa, North of Des Moines for a lovely 10 hour, 37 minute drive, possibly on Tuesday before the convention. Thankfully I have a 2-room corner suite at the Embassy to relax in before the Wednesday meet & greet. Not looking forward to the drive back. Lol.

Yeah I’ve done the 13 hours to and from Atlanta a few times. I fly now. If I had like 2-3 people with whom to carpool, and we got along well enough, it could be a fun tradition to start. I just don’t know any other local painters.
