@Crowley great to see you back and hobbying! I like the greenstuff work, and that base. Where by chance did that stamp come from?

Happy Seppuku, which sadly closed up shop last year.

COFFEE!!

Yesterday I speed painted the dire cabbage and did some greenstuff work. Mostly I needed to gap fill the weird bones monster I made, and also the hound from the Reaper Expo, but because you never mix up the right amount of GS I also did some work on my space gnolls, giving one shoulder armor, another a rock to stand on, and the third a power cable for his mask. Then with the last bit, I stamped a base.

Today will be my first shift working at the coop again. Gonna suck up the whole afternoon...

MORE COFFEE!

For a second I thought that was one picture, not two and was like “dang! That cabbage is HUGE!!” 🤣

So, yeah. Sick again. Likely RSV, it’s going around the daycare. Working in a Petri dish is just… wonderful 😑

I've had 2  colds since the Hamsterling started going to daycare.

18 months with barely a sniffle, and now.... ugh.

Yeah, Sephy only got sick once in her first year of life, not even sniffles. Then she started going to daycare. Snot city.

Getting ready to do hobby-ing, as I really need to take advantage of no game today.

*muttered curses*  Thanks for the info. Guess I'll just have to make my own.

31st wedding anniversary today.  Going to celebrate with pizza and ice cream later. And watch a movie with hubby and offspring.

Congratulations! Pizza and ice cream... evidence the romance never fades!

Edit: Not a knock at all. I'd by far rather have pizza and ice cream for an anniversary dinner than go to a fancy restaurant... well, unless @Glitterwolf is cooking.

The Basius pads seem to be rather nice, the only killer is shipping.  Oh, and finding space for them, since the XL ones are HUGE.

What is working for me for base decoration is polymer clay (bakes into PVC) and some texture rollers I found for sale on Etsy.

I bake them at the recommended temp in a small toaster oven, so I do not have to heat a full size oven for just a few base inserts/covers. The result is as paintable as bones, and can be trimmed, etc as necessary. Plus the fact that oven bake polymer clay is cheap and easy to find. Even Walmart has it.

The Rollers. I think they were about 3-4 dollars (US) each.

Well, we got some unexpected money and I used some of it frivolously. I purchased a reapercon swag box (just the little one, at least I still get the pen) and some stuff from the pledge manager. I was happy to see the townsfolk in the pledge manager.

So. My coworkers and I are subject to a “kudos” and “thanks” system. Gives a small amount of cash (until the tax man takes most of it) and then points. I have been racking up the points for years because, well, I simply forgot that was a thing. But a few weeks ago I remembered and was surprised at what I could get. Since we wanted one anyway, I got a 36” propane smoker.

Doing ribs today. Six hours with a dry rub. The last hour says to put BBQ sauce on them, but they smell too wonderful right now to sully them with anything like that and that won’t be happening. Maybe on the side.

Just simple grocery store rubs. Maple and Mesquite.

I would suspect that the sauce is at least partly to retain moisture, rather than just flavour. Still, as long as you have it on the side you should be okay.
