After two successful interviews, they provided me with an offer, and a bunch of paperwork to fill out.

Hubby's getting a kick out of the fact that as of Tuesday, I'm officially a red shirt...  Because said company has red golf shirts and black pants as their uniform...

Good thing I'm a TNG/DS9/Voyager fan, red is good.

Good for you!

Congrats!

Ah, well I hope you will be able to access it again soon then.

The Avatar is a nice step though, more recognisable.

Friday's edition of trivia for September 3rd:

  • 301 – San Marino, one of the smallest nations in the world and the world's oldest republic still in existence (it was founded as an independently ruled monastic community), was founded by Saint Marinus.

  • 1935 – Sir Malcolm Campbell reached a speed of 304.331 miles per hour on the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah, becoming the first person to drive an automobile over 300 mph.

  • 1967 – Dagen H (or H-Day) in Sweden: Traffic changed from driving on the left to driving on the right overnight.

Congrats Ensign <genericnamehere>!  Here's your phaser, report to the transporter room.  You'll be escorting all the senior officers on a "simple diplomatic mission".  No don't bother unpacking first......

Hence why specifically mentioning TNG and later, although red shirts in that case tend to wind up meaning you get into trouble with women.  Thinking about how many times Ryker got into trouble with women has me wondering if the original series is more preferable in that case...

My attempts to utilize the ancient Roman strategy of divide and conquer this year to battle the yard did not work. My attempts to incite the grass and the weeds into a vicious competition in order to weaken both did not come about, rather they appear to have formed an unshakable alliance against me and are both happily verdant. So much for subtle methods then, back to scorched earth it is...

I got to spend my night at a desk again and brought some older ST RPG books with me. They're the Last Unicorn version, if anyone is familiar. It appears that I'm not the only one with Star Trek on the brain.

I also started working on an adventure idea but I'm now tempted to run something involving the Ba'Ku planet. Because they have it listed in the "Planets of the UFP" and I want to see if I can do something interesting with what I think was probably one of the worst movies. Which, you know, I bought for $2 last month.

Clearly the yard is being led by Hannibal Barca. You clearly need a yard product called Scipio Africanus* to defeat the threat.

*I need to develop such a yard care product and name it that. The marketing tactics and advertisements are forming in my mind already.

Yes, when all else fails, fall back to the Russian tactics. You are wise, and clearly know your Napoleon and WW2 history.

Now you need to recruit more auxiliaries. Nothing bad can possibly happen from this.
