Tell us something interesting about where you live. Town, city, county, state or country be as specific as you'd like.

Supposedly my town is one of the oldest, continuously inhabited settlements in Europe.

No idea if that's actually true or not though.

What town is that? Sounds fascinating.

While Saskatchewan is famous for being perfectly flat it isn't. We've got a lot of areas of beautiful, big hills including where I live. It's just that our cities where there are the most visitors and people living are on the flats.

Amongst other things, my state is known for its temperate rainforests. And I live near enough to one for a visit to be a day trip, if I were so inclined.

My state has had seven US presidents born in it (2nd to Virginia). However, it also seems to have the highest number of presidents elected (not necessarily born here) from it die in office (4 out of the 8 to pass in office).

Half way through the month! Got any half finished projects?

I have two, one I started during Christmas break that I never was able to get into, and then the mini I've been painting recently.

Uh... my average midwestern town is super boring...

Uh... Lemme do a quick Google search...

We somehow have more shoreline than Florida, which doesn't seem possible, but that's what Dr. Google says. So that's something.

Ipswich (The one in England).

There's definitely been something here since Roman times, it's before that you enter dubious boasting territory.

Considering the amount of settlements that existed since antiquity and are still around, the title of "oldest" and "continuously inhabited" must have a lot of contenders.

It's known for the univeristy and the free speech movement, but the most interesting thing to me is the hundreds of paths and stairs hidden in the hills, some leading to really nice spots. wish I had more time to explore them

What I've seen of British archaeology is you can't swing a cat in England without hitting something Roman, and much of that was built on top of something Iron Age or older.

My state is home to the largest National Forest in the US: The Tongass National Forest. It is also the largest rainforest in the US. Quite a few state and local businesses use it in their name.

Text-to-speech systems have a fun time with the name...

The County I live in means Crooked River. The Crooked River River (Cuyahoga River) lives up to the name.  It flows into the lake from the south.  It's headwaters is north of it's mouth.

I haven't been here in Texas long enough to know anything without cheating and using Google.

It's HOT!
