I like the draconic versions,  its just too useful to have a race of dragon servants/chew toys.

they have been present in this role  in many campaigns

the best use I got out of them before that was a single quote drifting down form a 1st ed campaign

"Quit wounding the Kobolds!"   they had 1d4 hp, and when one player was contributing so little to the fight that he had hit, more than once and failed to kill one, another player got really annoyed.

I was expecting that "quit wounding the kobolds" to be a cranky dragon who's favorite toy just got an arrow in it

Kobolds vary quite a bit, do you have a preferred kobold design?

I have been painting Fantasy minis since the first version of TSR's D&D, but I have never painted a Kobold.

I do have a few Dark Sword DiTerlizzi Kobolds that look cool.

June 16,

Tell us something interesting about where you live. Town, city, county, state or country be as specific as you'd like.

Columbus, Ohio... The first modern water treatment system was designed and built here. It combined filtration and softening and is credited with reducing Typhoid deaths around the world. This type of system is still in use in a lot of places today. Before that water systems were typically just a big well and pump station. Not necessarily super hygienic when you considered what folks were likely doing with their waste water at the time.

I'm partial to the John Kovalic shaggy dog kind from Kobold's Ate My Baby!

Not really. Kobolds is kobolds, and they show up as needed, in whatever configuration seems appropriate.

I do like the dragon-y ones, but people do a lot of variants, and most of them are pretty awesome.

I like the small lizardfolk/draconic variety. But, I do have a soft spot for the Warcraft rodent-like Kobolds.

NO TAKE CANDLE!

Not particularly, I like most of what I've seen. I DON'T like the current Pathfinder 2e take on them; they look like some weird fish/amphibian thing.

Side note: I enjoy using Kobolds, my players not so much. I play them as 'Tucker's Kobolds'. If you don't know, google it, it's a very funny read.

Kobold Battle Armor.......

D&D, I prefer the draconic kobolds.

@Jasper_the_2nd beat me to it! If not Battle Armor from CBT, how do I prefer kobolds? FLAT!

[Googles Pathfinder 2e kobolds] Their heads and necks are as large as their bodies?!

I know they probably want to differentiate their standard monsters from the D&D designs. It worked with the goblins, but it fails with the kobolds.
