I've been informed yesterday was "national doughnut day" did you have one? What's your preferred kind of doughnut? Do doughnuts even need a day?

Was it now? What a coincidence. Because yesterday I picked up a couple dozen homemade strawberry donuts that get made every year to support a high school marching band in a little town my wife and I used to live in. Typically they're sold at an annual strawberry festival and they are extremely popular. They always sell out before the end of the festival. But that got cancelled this year. So instead they made them out of some church's facilities and sold them online for pickup. I'm just about to head out the door and distribute most of them to friends. Because I really do not need two dozen donuts.

June 4,

What is the first thing that comes to mind when you realize that the killer might in fact be a werewolf, or werewolves?

Bonus question how do you let everyone else know it might be werewolves?

It is useless trying to warn folk of the presence of a Werewolf; re, the script forbids belief until it is too late.

The only hope is to confront the Werewolf using my best Maria Ouspenskaya accent AND inform him/her :"That vhen zee Moon iz full, you vill turn into a Vere-Didi-Voof."

Whereupon the Werewolf will respond: "What are you saying Wizened Old Gypsy person? What is a Vere-did-Voof?"

The conversation falls off from this point on.

EVERY DAY IS DONUT DAY WITH ME...mostly.

Cap'n John & I usually hit the Marble Falls Donut shop for breakfast. While The Cap'n invariably has a egg & bacon/ham/sausage croissant, I usually have a donut or two. Glazed twists are my current favorite.

I did not have one, I didn't know what day it was.

I'm not fussy when it comes to doughnuts. ::D:

There are probably a lot of 'national (fill in the blank) days' that we don't need, but it's harmless and some people enjoy it, so why not?

I did not, but had I known that I probably would have. I prefer chocolate icing on my donuts, preferably with sprinkles. However, if I'm at a Krispy Kreme shop, I want a lemon-filled donut above all others, though I will eat practically any kind, as they encourage the consumption of milk and thus calcium plus vitamin D. So really, donuts are a health food in my book.

Donuts are food for any day. There's a local shop that puts the day-old donuts on sale for $0.25 each, but you have to get up early in the morning to capitalize on that bargain.

Of course they do not need a day! They are health food. Everything in them is found on the planet, so they are all natural! [telling that to a health food nut, will cause sweats, rapid eye blinking, stuttering and a full body quiver!]

I did not have one, the thought of an hour round trip drive to the nearest shop totally put me off the idea.  I like donuts when they're fresh, but usually the massive amount of sugar makes me regret eating one.

That's where we stand on donuts. I'd rather get more mileage out of my daily caloric budget. Someone brought those Krispy Kreme brand donuts in a couple weeks back, and both of us had one, and each of us regretted it immediately. The fiancee even went so far as to consider a bulemic option (she didn't, but she was really mad she couldn't have ice cream that night).

I'll rarely have a chocolate donut with minimal frosting, or maybe a blueberry donut. It's best when someone brings in donut holes, because then I can get the flavor without the calories of an entire donut.

Note I keep saying 'someone brings in'. I haven't bought a donut since I was a teenager. When I retire, I'll probably never eat another one and not really miss it at all.

I did not, though I've been finding myself craving doughnuts recently...

As for favorite, I like basically all of the cream-filled variety, particularly topped with frosting and chopped peanuts...

And no, doughnuts do not need a day, because every day is doughnut day.

No such thing in the Netherlands as National Doughnut day.

But I occasionally eat one, I prefer the kind that's glazed in a chocolate frosting with some sprinkles on it.

Because of their cab amount, doughnuts are a rare treat for me. Though the Tim Horton's of today is a mockery of what they used to be, and I try to avoid theirs.

I did not.

I do like doughnuts, particularly the cream filled kind, but I eat them very rarely nowadays.

Doesn't pretty much everything have a day now? Seems unfair to leave doughnuts out.

Did not know it was yesterday. I haven't bought a doughnut in ages.

My preference is for crullers. I don't care if it's considered a true doughnut or not, it's sold in the same places and I like 'em.

I did not know, and I did not have one.  As a diabetic they'd be a rare treat, and right now I'm trying to be very good, so no sugar spike inducing goodies for me.

When I do have them, sour dough glazed are very tasty, as are blueberry fritters.....

I haven't had one, because it's at least a 2km walk to a decent donut shop, and that one is only open some rather small hours...

I tend to rather like Apple Fritters, if done well.

Won't even touch Tim Hortons.  Used to be good, then they made them smaller, then they changed the flour too, so it has nowhere near the taste, and has stuff I'm allergic to in it...

Not to mention that they don't even bake them in store anymore. They ship them from elsewhere frozen and then defrost them.
