Their answer was something along the lines of “we support the gaming manufacturing community. A lot of great companies are making sculpted bases, and doing it great. They are cool people and friends and we don’t want to dip our toes into their pond.” My only counter argument for this is, aside from GW, most of the people making sculpted bases are producing them in resin. Which makes them a reasonable option for occasional figures, but if you're doing a whole wargames army or want all of your monsters in the tomb of horrors to have matching bases it begins to get expensive. I'm not aware of any good bulk buy in plastic options for sculpted bases. They wouldn't need to be super fancy or niche, just some basic "I want to have a decorated base without having to break out the gravel/sand/greenstuff/flock/plastic bits/etc." 6

I don’t know if your proposed 25x32mm oval base would work like I’m thinking, but an oval sized so that it can fit inside a 1” square (long axis of the oval lining up with the corner-to-corner diagonal of the 1” square). That way you can base the overly-wide-stanced mini’s, but they will still fit in 1” squares. A 25x32mm oval should work for that; the diagonal is slightly longer than 35mm. (Granted, basing such mini’s on square bases gets a similar result.)

The KS itself recently ended but the PledgeManager just opened so you can get them that way.

I don’t see any separate sculpted bases though. Did I miss them? The awards were a little confusing.
Marc
Agreed - the KS was definitely confusing! Assuming this link works correctly, (and assuming posting the link doesn't break the commerce rules) here are the bases: https://gamefound.com/projects/archon-studio/dungeons--lasers-third-edition/products/details/13849#/

I never noticed them during the campaign and didn’t scroll all the way to the bottom of the bajillion addons in the PM. Thanks for letting me know. I just added 2 sets to my pledge. mikem91
Secret Weapon had/has a kickstarter for textured bases that were/are quite nice. Their molds just got delivered a couple of weeks back. Their pledgemanager is still open for the next short period of time.

Lidless Eye
32mm non-lipped round bases. I don't even play Warhammer enough to need them, but they're nice for big guys who aren't quite Large and will still sort of fit on a combat square. 8 hours ago, SotF said: I believe Renedra is producing cobblestone ones...mainly thinking it's them because I think it's the same ones making the Frostgrave/Oathmark packed in bases, though they aren't the packed in ones Yes, the Renedra ones are very nice for the price as well...though this seems like a weird spot for me to promote a rival line, woops. Only posted them because Reaper isn't doing pre-textured bases, was mainly pointing towards them for those who want the pre-textured. Citrine
I would love to see 1.5" round or square bases with flat tops and straight sides.
WhiteWulfe
I'd love to see 55mm and 70mm rounds added in with the same styling as 74032.
