I find it very hard to suggest any imprvement because you did an outstanding job with this one. Do you know a tutorial or something for how to paint potions? Because i have sister hazel lying there waiting to get painted and i want to give her some awesome looking potions like you have given your mini.

Lovely. The turquoise patches against the orange robes is a nice touch. As kazmania7 mentioned dealer shadow would make it pop more. A really dark green in the deepest folds of the orange robes is one way to add the depth.

Thank you!

I think Zumikito on youtube has a few videos on painting things behind the glass.

Otherwise, if I'm not sure how an object on my mini is supposed to look like, I try to find an actual object that is similar in shape and form and see how that looks and how it reflects light.
So in case of vials, you can look at shotglasses and vases.  In case of NMM swords, you can make a similar shape sword out of cardboard and put aluminum foil over it.  (Really all depends on how much time you have and want to spend on it)

Hope that helps! 😃

Any particular area or just overall in general?

Details, details! 😄
But true, it's the little details that make minis pop more.  The more details, the better.  Thanks for advice!

You'd need something in the shotglass, too, right?

And then you'd have to adjust the level in it, until it was proper.

And try not to spill or over-correct the volume.

'Cause then you'd have to start over...

Maybe this is why I don't get enough painting done...

Of course!!!
The secret really is to have 2 shotglasses!  One with the proper level in it for the purpose of mini painting.  And one for yourself, in which you can keep adjusting the level as you feel necessary 😉

I have worked through the second kit and really dig the wizard mini. I buggered up the paintjob on the crystal golem but am far too lazy to strip it and try again. I still think that it looks cool.

The friendlier side of my Witch Hunter warbands. Well...somewhat...

Friar Stone's method of finding heresy is to ply the suspect's tongue with booze, rather than the traditional ways.

His sidekick is a Grenadier Igor who switched sides and is ratting out his previous masters for leniency.

Perhaps the shiftiest look I've seen on a mini thus far...

And finally the humble Wardog, biting heretics for a bowl of kibble a day, and three treats per heretic found.

Hello to everyone, this is my first time posting here. Recently I've painted some of Reaper Bones minis.
I'm sure most of you know these minis very well. I hope you'll like it.

My neighbor is DMing a new pathfinder campaign soon, so I have taken it upon myself to make minis for the party. Our first game is tentatively on Tuesday, so it may be a short-lived WIP. The characters are:

Dirk, the flaxen-haired and violet-eyed elf fighter. He's not too bright, but that doesn't bother him, he's just here to fight bad guys. A seventh son from the elven kingdom, he will be dressed in rich reds and gold.

A'con, a fighter with anger issues. She comes from the forest kingdom, and will be dressed in bright gold and deep emerald green.

Ani, the ego-driven bard and A'con's sister. She's convinced that she can do anything better than anyone else. Her favorite color is orange, so I think she will be dressed in a bright orange vest.

Cathal, the dwarf cleric. I honestly don't know much about this character. So I'm just going to wing it.

Varian, the spell thief. He is laying low after stealing from the wrong wizard. I am going with a red/purple/blue color scheme for him.

We also possible have a sixth character, a half-halfling half-giant. He's been described as having the appearance and proportions of a halfling, but the size of a human. I am honestly completely at a loss for what to do. Any suggestions? I am looking through my many minis from the first two bones kickstarters, but nothing has jumped out at me yet.

When Namil took ascended to the Order's highest rank, he blanketed himself with followers who held to what he believed the Order should be.  Bastian was not one of them.  Because he would not bend, he was sentenced to death.  With the aid of another in his order, he managed to escape.  Being framed for the murder of his friend, and dishonored in his homeland, Bastian set fell into despair.  He wandered the land, lost and searching for something to help him redeem his honor, and clear his name.  It was an old Dwarf name of Faenon who be his salvation.  Now, he travels with Feanon as a friend and companion, renewing his vow of service before self.
