QUESTION July 6th.

For one day you can have a famous person's talent.

Who do you choose and what will you do with it?

Isaac Newton's ginormous brain!

Combined with modern science and computers, time for some new physics!

Tesla may be an even better choice.

Hmm... so much talent either takes time to get recognized (like actors) or time to get applied (such as scientists), so I'd want something that would be beneficial to me within the scope of a single day (even if that just means personal satisfaction).

There's also the interesting conundrum of making a name for yourself with something you won't be able to keep up...

First thing that really comes to mind would be to have Matt Mercer's DMing skills (including voice acting) for the finale of my group's campaign.  Really send this thing off in the most amazing way possible for my players.

Pass.

Having a famous person’s talent doesn’t mean I have the skill to properly use it.  Sure, I could have the musical talent of, say, Mozart but that doesn’t mean I can play an instrument well, much less write a composition that will be well received by anyone.

“Talent” is just an advantageous starting place.  It still takes years upon years of work to become great.

I will take Claude Debussy.   Then I can brush up on my French and my piano skills.

Seeing how several people want to see the Big Bang. Meaning that to properly see it, they have to arrive before the existence of time and space, the Universe may very well be already broken. (It explains a lot of things really)

They'd be outside the singularity, observing the Big Bang, though... the Reaper Miniatures Forum Pantheon®.
It might explain how I'd be able to transpose myself into an infinitely dense point in spacetime.

Question July 5th.

You're safe in a bubble nothing can harm you or see you.

This will last a few hours.

What Event/Animal/Person do you want to see?

This can be in any time or place.

I'd be hanging with @Corsair at the Resurrection

Izzy Collier's artistic talent.  I'd pump out enough concepts to keep me busy for the rest of my life.

QUESTION July 7th.

Name 3 things that recently happened that you're thankful for.

1.  I almost died from sepsis a month ago.  While that seems like a strange thing to be thankful for, it really brought focus back into the rest of my life, giving me new life, so to speak.  Sometimes all we need is perspective.

2. It rained a lot yesterday, hopefully saving a lot of farms around here.

3. My eldest graduated college with a 3.83, took the MCAT, got a job, moved into his own apartment, and will be married in 3 weeks.

I am sorry I haven't been responding to the questions. I is just that nothing comes to mind.

No problem Al, there is no pressure or obligation.

It's meant to be fun, and if nothing comes to mind, well maybe a next one will.

Hope you're having a nice day!

I watched the dog 3 yards over from my office window playing in a large inflatable pool. Then he came out and ran the fenceline with the neighbor dog. Then the doggy daddy came out and cleaned the dog pool.

I have a constant things of things, large and small, that I am thankful for. Counting my blessings is an ongoing activity and wonderful habit to develop. And, in general, I try to speak those thanks anytime it involves someone near me. Everyone loves to complain and demand, few like to compliment and thank.

  1. I'm thankful that the long winded blowhard that makes staff meetings take twice as long as they should take called off today and my monthly staff meeting only took an hour and twenty minutes instead of most of the day!
  2. I'm thankful for internet forums on car repair because one recently helped me diagnose and fix an electrical problem in my older Honda for around $10.
  3. I'm thankful for having an honest contractor who gave me a head's up on some material increases that went into effect at the beginning of the month. He let me know back in June and I was able to get all the siding I need for an upcoming project for about 30% under what I'd be paying for it right now.
