I am Working on my Adventuring kids. I liked the idea of having these Minis for my Kids.

Currently it is the thief. Well, my Girls dont like thieves so much, so it will be more something else. We will see.

I startet with some green. Looked a little scary.

This mini was unexepected difficult for me. I had it on my Desk for some while because I was unsure of the overall scheme. I didnt want it to scary because this would not fit my Girls preferences.

So I came up with the idea of some superhero Elements. The shirt was still dark but intended to become something Batman style.  For the Leggins I thought of Men in Tights and the Green Arrow Comic.

After applying Base colours and a face I was quite ok with the result. The eyes still a little scary but we will See.

I added some blue to the knife and had to Repair some chippings.

For now I am done. It has the somewhat comic lookalike I was heading for and I dont want to ruin it with further trials.

The Kid waits for varnishing now before it will go to the Show off section.

Next Kid ready to go.

Merisiel, Iconic Rogue.  The original artwork is very good but this is one of the early Bones models that did not translate well to the medium.   She flops over, the weapons did not come out well, and much of her detail is guesswork.  I even had to sculpt her a nose because she didn't come with one.  I tried to follow the artwork more or less, but it wasn't worth the effort to spend too much time on her.

Bad photos, bad Bones cast, and tabletop paint job of Balto Burrowell the Gnome Wizard. Painted this one up as my sons kid character in hero kids. Fuego is a young kid who can cast some fire spells and has survived three adventures and he was on his own in the last one.

I am really beginning to loath these older human sized minis, but this is the closest I had to a human child for his character. Fairly simple base coat, washes, and highlights. I was having a lot of problems with my skin tone paints being too thin (even after several minutes on the vortex mixer). I guess that is the pit fall of no painting for months outside of terrain.

This was a fun and easy paint job. He comes with a variety of arms and weapon options so you can customize the figure. (and the extra arms are nice for conversions)

Here is Lashana, bad-elf female warrior-wizard. I was inspired by a movie I saw recently.  Really enjoyed working with the red and orange colors.  I like how non-traditional and energizing the color scheme is.
