World Wide Miniatures Day 2021 WIP

This is it World Wide Miniatures Day 2021 is here, @maxstyles ways. I'll post my progress here over the weekend. Feel free to join me and post your WIP . Just for the fun of it.

I cleaned and prepared these models during the week to be ready today. It's gonna be an Ogre weekend. Ready, set, paint!

The base coat of these large models was perfect to practice airbrush. I used Reaper MSP paint 09028 muddy brown on the bases and a mix of dark grey, 29833 ash grey and 09291 IMEF olive for the skin.

And me, who thought I was working on several models at the same time. @Inarah, that's a lot of WIP all at once.

 

This is how far I was able to go on painting these guys last night. I will now focus on painting one of them and post the result when I'm done. I didn't work further on the Hook Mountain Ogres.

 

 

I'm going to go ahead and paint the Smasher. Notice that I added skulls hanging from his waist belt and I modified his club.

Well, you know how it goes. Some of those have been waiting a year or more for inspiration to strike.  I prep large batches of figures when I can, so I always have stuff on deck. 

 

I finished the guy with the horned helmet and got a good start on flying kitty.  Hope to move on to the fruit seller later this week.  Unfortunately it was a busy weekend that didn't offer much time for painting.
