Not quite but I did discern a similar potentiality in 2018-19... Our Pacific Five Eyes Partners are well on their way to fully implementing 5 Year Plans and a matter of Governance (if they haven't already). I will say that Virginia's cannabis laws were a somewhat pleasant surprise, though not entirely unexpected considering the circumstances. 9 hours ago, TGP said: August 20: Have you bought any cool new (or new to you) products recently? Aug 21st: Share pix of said items? (Remember Pix are fine; shopping links are not) I've been slowly but surely acquiring tools to carving stone that's harder than the alabaster I'm somewhat used to. Recently purchased a flex shaft rotary tool that's a knock off of a Foredom and several styles of grinding bits-a set of electroplated diamond bits with 3/32 inch diameter shafts and a few sintered diamond bits with 1/4 inch shafts. Sorry no pics. 🙁

Although this one made me really happy!

I bought Dye Sublimation Printer paper. Our local library system has Innovation Centers. One of the three has a Dye Sublimation printer. I am trying to make a Ancestral Fan Chart quilt that shows our Mayflower ancestors for the next gettogether for Thanksgiving. It will be the 400th anniversary of the first Thanksgiving. So far I have had trouble with the heat transfer part. It has been too light and splotchy.

I didn't buy it lately (middle of last year), it was greatly backordered and shipping delays due to the pandemic, but I finally got a paint stand from HobbyZone for my Vallejo paints, one of their mdf ones. Showed up 10ish days ago, haven't put it together yet; painting desk is too chaotic right now, it needs cleaned up (ironically the reason why I ordered the paint stand over a year ago...). Otherwise, I try not to spend much if I don't have to right now. Lots of wants though.

Not a kickstarter, so no link.

I had been eyeing those this week was having trouble deciding if there was enough I want to justify the bundle, or if I'd be better ordering individual minis

Mad Jack
Well, I didn't exactly "buy" it, since I just walked out of work with it and stuffed it in my car, but... Yesterday I acquired a fairly large piece of 1/8th in. laminate that I'll be using for the back wall of a shadow box project I've been slowly working on off and on for awhile now. It was just laying on top of one of the wooden pallets sent to us from a vendor, and ended up on one of the stacks of scrap skids I was moving during yesterday's OT. Although it's 48 x 40 in., I only need a piece around half that size so even though it's a little banged up and/or crappy in some spots there enough nice unblemished area for what I need.

Not necessarily unusual for everyone. A yurt in Mongolia. On a train in Russia. The operating table. (staying awake would've been rather disturbing.) Points for trying to fall asleep: Any freaking airport. Edited August 23, 2021 by Cranky Dog
