I've been a fan for basically my whole life, and my love has never wained for it, in spite of some questionable choices/episodes. What's something from your childhood that you still love? Dinosaurs … and, no, I didn’t see them live.

You let the others do the hunting and you just cooked up the dino burgers with what they brought back?

Playing make-believe. Only now it is with miniature figures and rule books, instead of dolls under the porch.

For those who are going, what are you most looking forward to? For those who aren't, what are you looking forward to this month? Did not go to ReaperCon (a bit too far to travel to). This month i'm looking forward to buying my first house! It's been majorly stressful. We started searching in May. Closing tomorrow and fingers crossed nothing comes up to mess that up. Bridges. - Yes. Fries on everything - Yes (as they are intended) On 9/6/2021 at 7:53 AM, Crowley said: Question for September 6: Labor day! The history of the labor movement in the USA is interesting, to say the least, as is the reason we don't celebrate it on international workers day (May 1st). Are you/have you ever been as member of a union? Have you ever participated in a strike? If you have today off, how are you celebrating? The library I work for voted to Unionize about two years ago. I was hesitant at the time, but am definitely thankful for it. Over the past year, even though the contract hasn't been formalized, they have done a lot to keep us safe and paid during the pandemic.

I've been a fan for basically my whole life, and my love has never wained for it, in spite of some questionable choices/episodes. What's something from your childhood that you still love? Well I still love reading weird sci fi, stomping around in woods and streams, cats and dogs, riding my bike around, baseball games, RPG's, etc... You know, aside from a bunch of adult crap I have to deal with now - and the beer of course - not much of a difference between child Thoramel and adult Thoramel. 3 hours ago, MoonglowMinis said: This month i'm looking forward to buying my first house! Trying to avoid ranting about the things paramount to my childhood that have been mucked up in the past, oh let's say decade... I still love swimming, even though I haven't had access to a pool since 2019. I did a lot of swimming as a child. And I still love my Dragonlance Chronicles books, the original red/blue/green paperback trilogy. They'll have to bury me with those.

Jurassic Park was my Star Wars. 8

Dungeons and Dragons in particular, but role-playing in general. Star Wars. I didn't get into Star Trek as a kid, that came later. I did see Star Trek 2 at a drive in theater, though.
