Reapercon 2022 excitement thread!

I wish I could remember the name of the instructors we had last year. We added classes really late so just took what we could. One of them was a sculpting class about moving joints, I think. We cut an arm off and changed it's position and then hunched the whole guy over. That was the first sculpting I had ever done, so I would definitely like a more beginner class of sculpting. I really enjoyed the color wheel class we took, and the 1 beginner painting class we took was good, but it was the very basics that we already knew. I'm really looking forward to more classes this year!

Someone will probably chime in with the full details, but I've still got the booklet with the class schedule. If you remember the day and rough time, I could at least narrow down the choices.

I'm looking for some good newbie classes, and my husband got an airbrush for Christmas, so he'll probably be looking for some classes on airbrushing.

I will be teaching my "Beginner's guide to metallic paints" class again! I cover some very basic techniques (such as drybrushing and how to do basic shading/highlighting on metallics), then we have fun exploring colors other than silver. 🙂

Huzzah!

That moving joints sculpting class was mine (in real life I am Andy Pieper). 🙂

Okay, what kind of stuff has been available at the Reaper Bucks Store in the past?

Last year was the only year they had a store.  There were several kinds of t-shirts, a few boxes of product (turtle dragon, paint kits, KS expansions, etc.) all the extra contents of the swag bags like plastic cups, pens, ribbons, a few ball caps, patches, keychains, other Reaper branded stuff like that plus the old banners, and some blankets they get printed with Reaper artwork.  It's mostly the same variety they have for the auction.

I have two bad photos from last year:

I remember the christmas paint kit with the krampus and the pumpkin golem paint kit were pretty inexpensive, maybe 300 coins each? T-shirt was 1000, I think.  Four of us went in on one of the expansion boxes for several thousand.  I don't remember.  Not sure how it will be run this year.

Oh, yes! I was wondering how I had met you! I recognized your handle because it is the 2nd Ribbon I got at ReaperCon, but couldn't remember HOW I got it! Now I know! It was a very good class, I am just not very good at the sculpting part. I was just a little bit slower with everything, so I think I got behind and missed some steps! That's ok though, I will just have to take another one of your classes so I can do better next time!

Another faction reveal, The Thornforged, led by their current leader Byverion. We can't wait to see what this model will look like for ReaperCon 2022. Are you going to choose the Thornforged as your faction?!

Epic Artwork was done by the Max Dunbar

I've been debating my admission ticket, not because if I wanna go, it's that by running the amount of games I do every year, I get a basic admission ticket (all GMs do) from Reaper & it never sees use. I need to weigh the VIP benefits this year more before I make my decision.
