Cranky Dog
Got my classes...ish! So many options, and some classes cover the same thing or are given more than once. So I had to create a spreadsheet with filters to make sure I didn't make any mistakes. Then again, just the way Growtix works is a PITA. It logged me out when I switched pages, and cancelled and my choices in the checkout section, so I had to re-select and go with what was left (again, the spreadsheet helped). Still, I got 10 11 classes selected and paid for spread over 4 days. I may cancel a few, but it will all depend on the rest of the game and convention schedule which I haven't seen. Edit: Missing class from schedule was added and corrected several minutes ago. Edited July 6, 2022 by Cranky Dog
Serenity
Did the Growtix pages specify the classes limit anywhere? I read a post from ReaperJon that said the limit was 8 per person. If they don't enforce it, the limit would be on the honor system. And if people don't know about the limit, the honor system won't work.

I just went to the reg site: https://register.growtix.com/games/submission/ReaperCon_2022 (you have to register before you can submit) & it appears everything is good to go for submissions! Thanks haldir. I signed up to run Rangers of Shadow Deep. buckyball

I *have* gone over the 8 limit, and I do expect to cancel a class or more long in advance if the rest of the activities warrant it.

Started over, got most of my first choices, went to pay, got an error. Third time round I started buying classes day by day. Got some of my first choices and a few 2nd choice classes. Found out I had duplicates. Went back in later and checked off some more 2nd choice classes. All in all, 9 classes, but for 2 people. Jon said they're not using growtix next year. I don't know what will replace it.

I think they're looking for a better overall experience. I hear they're debating between waterboarding and hot pokers. I never understood the "8 classes max" until I scheduled that many and was so wiped out that I wasn't getting a chance to actually enjoy myself.

At my first RCon in 2016, I took as many classes as I could fit, but then missed on a bunch of other events. But if I wait for the full event schedules to be out, I'll lose out on some of the classes that really interest me. I also remember my last physical visit at RCon in 2019 where I misunderstood how the Growtix registration/ticket purchase worked. I did miss on a ton of interesting classes. What's going to happen is that many people will understandably be angry/frustrated at what's left, but those who check in from time to time will find the occasional cancellation and jump at the opportunity.

I know it's only the first day, but it does not look that bad this year. Some classes sold out, but it looks like more than half still have multiple seats open, particularly Friday and Sat in the 1pm and 3pm slots, and the evening slots. I was glad to see some new faces teaching this year, and some new/different subjects being covered.

It worked, but now we have a bundle of emails and QR codes to reassemble. Still, we’re thrilled to have gotten most of our first choices…
Evilhalfling
I went with 5 classes, - 2 friday, 2 saturday, 1 sunday (late) I decided to concentrate on texture this year and so that's 3 of my classes. I am hoping by focusing on a single element I will have lots of improvement. this is my 4th reapercon - so I have taken some of the highly sought classes in years past. I did have some trouble getting to a place where I could buy classes - and I ended up doing some cache clearing and password changing before I got there. so about 30-45 min after it opened, I got all but 1 of my classes. It was kind of iffy anyway, a good teacher at a bad time for me. I also submitted my Spelljammer game, that should be pretty gonzo. - flying ships and mechanical monkeys.\ I still have some of my 2nd ed D&D stuff for it, but am looking forward to better ship rules.
Highlander
I got 8 classes over four days. I had resolved to take only 6 --- because, by the third day, exhaustion sets in. I compromised with myself on 7 -- but then the mysterious disappearing class caused me to enroll in my second backup. Then the class reappeared. Since it was my number one choice, I had to enroll in it. I made the trip to purchase class tickets three times. So, I too, have multiple QR codes. I am pretty pleased. I planned to avoid back to back classes and only had one exception. There were enough classes offered that I was able to go back to old teaching favorites and am trying some new teachers. I've taken enough classes at RC, that I have a good feeling for the teachers that match my .learning style and those that don't -- and I was able to use that filter. All in all, this year looks to be the best for classes -- considering the offerings, my choices, the teachers,a and the schedule. Count Urlik
I’m a little confused on game registration… we only have one GrowTix account, but it doesn’t seem to allow for multiple reservations? Do we have to set up a growtix account for each of us, or is there something else I’m missing?

You can reassign purchased tickets to another name, which should allow you to get one for each person who has a ticket. Go back in to growtix and make a 2nd purchase, it will let you buy another seat in the same class.
