comicbkguy
I'm one of the nine who wasn't listed. And I plan on staying the entire time, unlike the pathetic four hours or so I was at Reapercon.
Mad Pat
If you guys get board in the evenings and don't mind a bit of a drive (1hour) I'll be working at a Haunted House in the DFW area as well as running Demo's at Reaper. Its pretty fun, the area I work in as a Air tech uses paintball guns mounted to the hay ride wagons so you can shoot at the monsters as they approach the wagons. I'll try to have a stack of flyers with me to put in the break room. Patrick "Mad Pat" Haughton

That sounds frickin' awesome :-D
pae
Any word on when the sign-ups for classes will be available, and possibly a schedule? Are the classes the same length as at ReaperCon (2 hours for painting, 4 hours for sculpting)? Or will it be different? Me wants to know. Ahhh, always a wise move to arm paranoid people already a little jumpy. Good luck to your friends playing monsters. I hope they don't take too many head shots from knuckle heads just trying to do the macho thing.
Mad Pat
Jester, I'm afraid the place is only open on Fri and Sat nights, but i'll make sure to have some info up at the shop before the confrence starts. As for the "poor" monsters, they take on avarage hundreds of hits a hour, but we armor them up pretty well, and EVERY one of them wears a industry rated mask to protect thier face and eyes. its rather amusing to me, but most of them are teenage kids who haven't realised they are mortal and breakable. OUCH!!! I don't care how much armor you;re wearing. Getting hit that many times is gonna still smart. Silly teenagers . I have always found. Rule #1 of paintball. It doesn't matter how many layers of clothing you wear, how much armor you get on, someone is going to hit you where is hurts like all hell. Kheprera
Tell me about it. I've been hit in very sensitive areas that they don't make protection for (for women anyway). OUCH!! And I've used the full face mask, half face mask, goggles... you name it, I've used the head gear... and somehow I STILL get hit in the darn face every time. The paint they use in those balls tastes like crap, too. And in Texas, with our heat during the summer, guns tend to run hot and shoot a whole lot higher than the (then) standard of 300 fps. I've seen bloody welts from those things through three layers of clothing.
Ichabod Crane
Last time I played (over 4 years ago) I came outta there looking like I had ringworm or starred in Kevin Costner's sequel ... Dances With Octopuses. Those little devils find the holes in yer armor with a vengeance!!!
Mad Pat
Actually they do make armor for womens special needs, any big paintball store should be able to get it for you. As for our monsters, we have some pretty well made bodyarmor, when you get hit you feel the impact but no pain. Now a little back on topic, be sure to pack your warlord and cav armies, I mean sure its a artists confrence, and folks are gona paint and stuff, but its also a dam good excuse to game.
