Inu Kingdoms : busts from Neko Galaxy

Recommended Posts

Thought some of you might find this interesting:

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/inukingdoms/inu-kingdoms-legacy-of-inu?ref=nav_search&result=project&term=inu

Some of the figures are borderline NSFW so i won't copy any pictures here.

Looks lovely, but even if I wasn't unemployed, these are a bit rich for my blood.  With shipping you're looking at ~$76 for a single bust - ouch...

50 eur is about normal for resin busts. (I'm thinking FER or NutzPlanet as particular examples.)  Biggest reason why I balked at getting into busts for a long while.

I am curious the final scale, I can't find if these are 1:10 or 1:12 or even a smaller scale....

Otherwise the sculpts are nice and I am tempted.

The Silenius bust is nearly there. Just can't put my finger on what's wrong.

One thing that sticks out to me, The hair doesn't look right around the ears, almost as if it's flowing through them instead of around them...

You're right!

The same with her horns.

And the Agrath, or is ir Argath? bust has the same issue.

(Honestly, doesn't anyone do a proper read-through before they post updates?)

I really like the necromancer woman (surprising no-one). The others are good, and I like the faun... but just the necro is one that is calling to me. The elf lady's outfit is really off. It needs *something* holding it together more. I like the scanty clad thing, that's fine, but a top should not be held on by sheer force of the nipples like that thing is.

A thin line running between the nipple covers, raised above the sternum would have created a very sexy gap that would actually amplify the bustiness of the sculpt.

Yeah just a little chain or something acting to pull the sides together and smush more cleavage could've worked. But as-is... nope. There is something peculiar going on.

Tape. Or, possibly, glue.

You don't think those Red Carpet gowns are held up by magic and prayers, do you?

True. Or they would be ungodly stiff, plus some tape. Usually they don't have what look like snap-buttons attached to the nips though... right?

All the other figures in this I think are designed fine. Bit surprised they have a 1 bust, 4 bust, and 6 bust pledge level.... but not a 2 bust pledge level.

If the 'red carpet dresses' were held up by prayer, they owuld fall down pretty quickly, considering how many men are praying for it to happen...

Ooh but the ones that have nothing holding cleavage together often have solid shoulders - get some rigidity in the garment at that point.

"And some good news here. We're preparing the new Kickstarter right now, called "Sitting Folks". Yes, we want to create a lot of miniatures in sitting poses. The launching date is about the middle of November. Yes, we're still painting rewards from the previous campaign, but the new one will not affect the process." -- from the Dwarven Forge Gaming Talk forum!

11 different prehistoric animals as well as a Dodo, each one in different poses. Most of them also have juvenile, armored and deceased variants, others have those as stretch goals. The early bird pledge is 20$ and is still available for half a day, after that it will be increased to 25$ which still seems to be a good price for the number of minis.
I backed their previous Cave Set and was happy with the result.

      Story
Long gone is the time of Dwarves in Midlam, a city built over the ruins of their Middle Home, which lay between the Lost Mountains and the Southern Holds.  The Barons of Midlam have always claimed their city was gifted to them by the dwarves of old, and claim an ancient alliance, although dwarves have rarely been seen in the city, and must register their presence with the Town Council.
Far to the North, so they say, lies the Lost Mountains, a place of legend and dragons.  It is said that many years ago, a dwarf came to Midlam in secret, hired two guides and headed North, never to be seen again.  There was also rumours that a group of grizzled dwarven mercenaries made the journey, but they too disappeared into folklore.
Now rumours abound of Dwarven Adventurers, heading North once more, into the perpetual freezing wastes.  The frightened chatter speaks of their desire to rid the Mountains of the orcs and goblins and return the Dwarven King to his throne.  Nobody knows what truly lies North, but people fear the return of the old wars, rampaging dragons and a dark evil that has no name...
