QUESTION OCT. 11th

What is your favorite Halloween/Holidays movie?

Obligatory: "Die Hard is a holiday movie!"

Otherwise, the Nightmare before Christmas works for both Halloween 👻 and Christmas 🎅.

While it came in June of 1984, it has ghosts & it's one of my favorite movies of all time if not top 3 but:

I don't go out of my way to watch anything specific this time of year, but I'll usually put on any of the Ghostbusters movies if they re on.

I'd love to watch It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, but I haven't been able to find it listed anywhere for years......maybe it's on streaming somewhere.....

Most likely its on Apple TV now. I know there was a bit of outrage last year when it wasn't on network (neither was the other ones). I know Apple opened up their service for free for a few weeks to allow people to watch it.

If we are gonna include Christmas as we all know it likes to creep into 31st activities, I'll add in the old stop motion Rudolph & animated Frosty shows. Those will always be classics to me.

You want me to pick ONE?

Ugh....

I'm gonna go with Hocus Pocus.

But I also love:
Bram Stoker's Dracula
Hammer Horror movies
Ghostbusters

Rocky Horror

Watcher in the Woods

Simpsons Treehouse of Terror

Question Oct. 12th.

Did you ever got pranked on Halloween or pranked someone yourself?

What happened?

Never.

The "Trick" part of "Trick or Treat" has never been a thing up here.

The closest I've seen would be our next door neighbor who would give my sister "gag treats". Like a rutabaga or pork chops, before giving her real candy.

Not that I recall. Our house got egged a few times by high school hooligans way back when my siblings were of that age, but I can't think of anything more than that.

I think I did. It was a “haunted house” scenario. (note 1)

The infamous geometry prank:

A = B

B = C

C = D

D = A

(note 2) Occurred well into US basketball season…in the last half of the school year.

(3) I don’t recall ever wearing a ghost costume and shouting Boo! on or around Halloween. Or anything similar.

Notes:

1) The [semi] willing victims tour a series of rooms, there are grapes modified to look like eyeball soup, and other shenanigans. At least one to a room.

2) A kid, the victim of the prank, got expelled from the school.

3) Just never got into the Halloween spirit I guess.

Well, last year I scared the hell out of a group of kids who looked to be up to no good in the local cemetery. They didn't see me coming until I was close to them, and given my general sinister appearance, and emerging from the darkness the way I did, I like to think I made an impression.
