QUESTION Oct. 6th.

What is you favorite Halloween Candy ( to give or to get)?

Don't give out Halloween candy, it's never been much of a thing in these parts.

If I'm receiving candy though I'm partial to any sort of nut/chocolate combo (particularly Peanut M&M's).

I still love the little Candy Corn and Peanut Butter chewies at Halloween.

I'm sorry, but those made me think "They wrapped cat poop?"

This photo does not show the fourth type, called Special Darks, but I would cull those out and keep them anyway.

Word of advice:  always get candy that you like, because you're stuck with it if you don't get many gets and there's a lot left.

As a diabetic I tend not to keep many candies, though anything Reese's are kept for emergencies. Yum yum yum.

And @Cranky Dog, I actually enjoyed the raisins. They were one of the only things in our childhood that were natural rather than artificial.

And @Great Khan Artist, please check your PMs.

Understand that I *do* enjoy raisins.

But as a Halloween treat, getting something I already have access to the rest of the year at home is a disappointment. The micro-sized boxes are just another level of insult to the quantities I usually want to eat.

I'd rate apples as worst, but at least I can hope of getting a new razor blade out of it.

Pretty much anything that isn't a box of raisins.

That's just mean.

I was the kid who was always excited to get those.  All my friends literally just gave me their boxes.  We had a few in our area back in the day who wanted to give something "healthy" to the kids.  They naturally were nowhere near as popular as the guy giving out Doritos and cans of pop (you'd get a can of pop and not the snack size bag but a size up of Doritos)

Halloween candy:

I like getting Reeces PB cups.  One full sized cup is fine.
I don’t give out candy, my side of the street has white picket fences, gates and not enough light.   too much work per house visited, so the packs of kids stay on the other side of a busy street.

I do however take a portion of my spawns’ candy as escort fee. Currently all candy is combined then draft- picked until it is evenly divided between the four of us.  I usually quietly throw out half of what I take, cause bad candy is not worth the calories.

As long as it isn't Milky Way or Whoppers, I'm fine with it. A Reeses cup with a Kit Kat chaser is a typical routine for me.

To give away? Milky Way and Whoppers, lol.

I used to like nearly anything with chocolate, the mini bars like TGP showed, Twix, M&Ms, etc and a few others like Smarties, Skittles and malted milk balls.  But now I can't stand anything made with cheap corn syrup  or hydrogenated vegetable oil.  It just tastes bad and leaves me thirsty and trying to wash the taste out of my mouth.   DH likes peanut butter cups and Snickers, so I sometimes buy those for him.

We don't give out candy 'cause door-to-door isn't a thing here.  Not many kids in my neighborhood, and the churches or schools sponsor "safe" events for the little kids.
