@Adrifti agree.  I love the concept, but if i have painting time, it'd be for sure in my priority miniatures, but background.

i was wondering if there's some kind of speed painting i could do with an airbrush and some wash, like AP dip?  It'd make this a lot more appealing if i knew how to get this done.

Yeah one could just basecoat and drop an ink wash and then call it a day. Don’t even paint eyes since they’re background.

I'm gonna assume most villagers can't afford anything outside the color brown. 😄

I've never purchased an dwarven forge products. Are these likely to be some sort of plastic? Or will these be resin?

These will be by Tiny Furniture. I mentioned Dwarven Forge because they have an active customer base interested in painted figures, which TF offers. The KS is not otherwise related to DF, though!

In theory, I love this. And it would make for fun background figures in taverns and what not. But with limited painting time, idk that I want to devote time to people sitting and eating/drinking.

I'd like to know if the TF "Sitting Miniatures" are sitting versions of their standing "Tiny Village" miniatures that they had in an IGG campaign a good while back! In other words, I'd like standing and sitting version of the same figure -- although that would still count as background...

I'm super excited for this. I have a bunch of minis to paint, but I get a relatively regular time to paint and I often want to avoid painting humanoid PCs when I don't have a specific use for them, because I'm a little worried that the opportunity/need for a mini will come, and I'll have already painted it in a way that doesn't fit. So villagers got priority treatment from Bones 4 and are basically all completed, while most humanoid adventurers are still awaiting the brush. This would be handy for the occasional tavern or other village scene.

Seated figs for all those tavern scenes? Why didn't anyone think of that before! (Okay, I'm pretty sure someone in the English lead belt did back in the 80s... Alternative Armies, I believe.) But honestly, the creators appearing completely disinterested in day 1 of their campaign - no comment, no update, nothing! - is a bit of a red flag.
