IMO....

The bright blue shirt stands out while the rest of your colors are earth tones. I think it draws attention away romt he rest of the piece, and the paler blue-green on the alchemical device clashes with it.   The hair looks good as-is, but is to close in color to the apron.  I would highlight one and darken the other. personally, I'd have gone with a more red-brown hair color, like her leather gloves and boots.  Just a wash of brown or reddish brown on her hair would bring it more into line with the other colors.

They say the face is the most important part of a mini and deserves the most attention. On that front you did a great job.

I agree with Inarah that the colour swatches may clash somewhat; the top half works because it is cartoony and saturated, and the bottom half works because it's gritty and unsaturated, but together the top half will overpower the bottom half.

I bet it looks great on the table though. 😊 I love the pants and the shading on her hair.

Thanks for the input!

Yeah, it looks like not planning out her colour scheme in advance didn't work this time. I have another version still to paint, so I'll try and apply the lessons learnt on this one to that one.

Yeah, I'm pleased with her face, even though I had trouble with her mouth.

I think it looks great!  I wonder if something copper or blued steel like a cog or gear on the ground in front of her might the in the shirt more?  I'm also colour blind so take any colour advice I give with a chunk of salt.

Thanks!

Yeah, that might have worked, I should really stop being so lazy with my basing.

Presenting Hammer, a captain in the Masons Guild, from Steamforged Games now defunct Guild Ball range. He's a man dangerously obsessed with the idea of physical perfection.

Another one I'm not too happy with, the casting wasn't great and I could never completely sort out all the mold-lines, which is why he sat unfinished for a few months.
His face does look better in hand though, so that's one good thing.

      Chrysoprasia aka Crazy Chrissie.

Named for the Dr & Quinch character, going to be my alchemist in an upcoming horror game.

The colour scheme was inspired by the elven tribes in the new Pathfinder expansion, Mwangi Expanse.

The model was a 3d print, but all paints are Reaper. My first time ever both painting dark skin tones and using a wet palette. Overall quite happy with the result.

Presenting Sakana (Not sure if this is the regular or veteran version), a member of the Fisherman team from the, now defunct, game Guild Ball by Steamforged Games.

This guy was one of those weird Guild Ball minis where I'm not quite sure what's going on with their outfit, I still can't figure out if he's wearing a roll-neck vest or just has a odd neck and, now looking at it in piccy form, I'm pretty sure the top half of his trousers aren't actually trousers.
He still came out okay though.

Presenting the veteran version of Minx, a character in the sadly now defunct game of Guild Ball by Steamforged Games.

She's being sitting in the 'Cupboard Of Unfinished Things' for a couple of years now, so it feels good to finally get her finished.

Presenting Veteran Hemlocke, she's part of the Morticians Guild from the game Guild Ball by Steamforged Games. Originally part of the Union, she managed to escape it's destruction and, being what passes for a magic user in the Guild Ball world, found a home with the spirit summoners of the Morticians.

Overall I'm happy with this one, but she is a bit rough in places, painting that snake was a big pain in the bum!
