You're right to be suspicious, @Glitterwolf! It's a reference to a sci-fi story by Damon Knight, got turned into a Twilight zone episode. @strawhat has the right of it, they want TO SERVE MAN in the same way I want TO SERVE MASHED POTATOES at Thanksgiving.
