DEC 31ST, New Years Eve, Last Questions for 2021

Are you going to carry-on answering these daily questions into next year?

Do you have topics for questions to suggest? If yes, DM them to @Corsair who will be doing the 1st month of 2022.

Yes, unless I'm eaten by wild animals or something. Cheers all and Happy New Year!

I suppose I will. I was rather spotty about answering some of my own.

I think I have 3 leftover…

Sadly I don't think I could come up with a whole months-worth of interesting questions, so my hat is off to those of you who host this thread.

It is immensely helpful if folk think of 2-3 and pass them on to the current host. If 4 people contribute 2 or 3 ideas that adds up to maybe 10? on average.

And, it isn’t quite as bad as thirty questions for a month. It can be four questions to post on Fridays that are involved enough to carry on thru Sunday, plus 4 ordinary questions X 4 weeks to cover Monday to Thursday, and then there is usually an odd extra day somewhere. 4 + (4x4) + 1 = 21.

Happy New Year!

It rather sounds like a small war is going on out there as I type. I suppose people are wanting to give 2021 a thorough send-off (or else sink it by gunfire).

My dad always said that you have to eat beans & rice first thing in the new year or you’d have bad luck.

My family had a variant of this superstition as well. It too involved the legume known as The Black Eyed Pea.  <== I did not know the Library of Congress had a website/blog.

…turned sidewards for no evident reason. Black Beans and Ranch Style Beans over fried rice with Peas and Carrots.

DEC 30TH

Is there anything special planned for your menu† tomorrow? …seeing as it will be New Year's Eve?

The boy (now 23)  had ankle surgery on the 30th, so nothing much as was planned as we weren't sure when he'd be home from the hospital, which ended up being the afternoon of the 31st.  I made spaghetti .  My wife picked up some assorting things to have in the evening but was then too exhausted stay up and have them, so we are having some goodies today.

I've been pretty quiet on forums lately and haven't answered many questions. Hard to say how many I will answer going forward but it's always interesting to see what others are thinking and doing.
