Whew. I'm way too sweaty and worn out, but I got those three bookshelves finished. Framewise, anyway. Now just to get the pegs and shelves in, move all the books off the old shelves, settle the new shelves in, get them bolted to the wall, move more books, find a spot and move the old shelves, get the vinyl moved, and presto! My house will be... well, still a huge mess. But the gaming library will be ordered! D&D tonight, so probably will finish all that tomorrow.

I'd totes play D&D with Big George. How do we make this happen? 🤔

Encounters of the Imagination 02-528: Cleric Tempted By Succubi...

I didn't even get halfway through that sentence before I knew which one you were talking about. ::D:  (The fact that I instantly recalled the SKU number as well is a bit scary though, lol.)

Welp. Antibiotics have been acquired for my little bean. She has an ear infection. No viruses were detected, so whatever it is that’s causing this is likely bacterial.

I am quite frustrated that this will interrupt my plans for potty training her though 😖 it’s not recommended to potty train a sick toddler. I was really looking forward to not buying anymore diapers.

Gods above and below - ear infections were the banes of our existence, when Brigid was between one and three.

Brigid needed to be potty trained three times... seeming to completely forget, every time. Then she just started, well, doing it.

Half of her problem was not wanting an audience - so she would quietly sneak off and use the potty.

I recognized almost as quickly. Didn't know the SKU number, though.

I've got a copy of it buried in the lead mountain somewhere.

Got up this morning, rolled out of bed, started going through he morning ritual.  I was pouring the hot water in the coffee press when I realized that my back pain was down to something only slightly above the normal background radiation levels, so huzzah! Almost back to normal!

As my age gets older & my job is physical, this is always a awesome feeling when I do hurt my back. Congrtz!

Somehow I parsed that on first read as the guy behind the Foreman Grill, and I was confused.

This reminds me I need to get on building my new computer desk. I've only had it for around a month now, it has been sitting in the box it came in. Most likely I will get to it tomorrow as it's my last full day of vacation.

Look up the story behind how much George Foreman makes from those grills.

George Foreman is a smart, smart man.

He was getting 45% of the profits, because the manufacturer assumed that the grill would be one and done.... 45%.....

Love the new logo!! Totally beats the borrowed "Blackhawks" logo. Portland Winterhawks jr hockey team

 PG_Winterhawks_Sticker01_1000x.jpg?v=162

Love the hidden stuff in the logo: Mt Hood on the bottom, the hidden "W" & "H" near the front, the subtle 2 feathers as a homage to the old logo. Also the 2 new colors that will part of the uniform now, Squall Grey & Celly Grey. Looking forward to getting a shirt or hat! I'll settle with a the above as a sticker for now.

Some things you might find interesting that happened on today's date, July 16th:

  • 1661 – The first banknotes in Europe were issued by the Swedish bank Stockholms Banco.

  • 1910 – John Robertson Duigan made the first flight of the Duigan pusher biplane, the first aircraft built in Australia.

  • 1941 – Joe DiMaggio hit safely for the 56th consecutive game, a streak that still stands as a Major League Baseball record ("hit safely" = a base hit = hit the ball inbounds and run safely to at least first base).

It’s a great piece of kitchen equipment.  Mine is used several time a week, and I’m on my third, I guess, since I first got one in ‘08.
