This brings up something that I've been thinking about the last few yeas. With many places legalizing/decriminalizing the Devil's Lettuce, and many drug dogs trained to alert on that, what are they doing? Since they can't charge (or won't bother) if they find it, there's a problem as the dogs aren't trained to alert differently for different substances. I'm really curious about this now...

I actually saw something the other day on that. I didn't read the details, but the gist I got was that they have to be retired. Retraining is too hard. Course, doesn't apply to the doggos at the airport. They're still in use.

Ask your doctor if Vampirism is right for you.

The Auld Grump

I dunno, I kind of prefer the side effects of becoming a werewolf...

Howling at the moon, running around in just shorts, getting a nice six or eight pack, the ability to really be a portable blanket heater... Acute night vision...

My Reaper order arrived... Only for me to realize that I forgot something and had to do another (small) order. Oops. :zombie:

I had to do a re-cretification class on Friday for work and it messed up my sleep schedule really bad. It sucks because my weekend has been all messed up and I don't think I'm going to get anything done.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that I was kind of thrown by the new Cyber Reavers. They're bigger than the older ones so they look off when they're side by side.

Sunday's stroll through history for July 18th:

  • 1968 – Intel was founded in Mountain View, California.

  • 1976 – Nadia Comăneci became the first person in Olympic Games history to score a perfect 10 in gymnastics at the 1976 Summer Olympics.

  • 1992 – A picture of Les Horribles Cernettes (a parody pop group made up of CERN employees) was taken, which became the first ever photo posted to the World Wide Web.

I could believe that, a decent Fish and Chip place is hard to find nowadays, too many are either super greasy or devolved into generic "Fried Stuff" takeaways.

The place I tried last night was pretty good though.

Way too many of them use frozen fish and pre-made and frozen chips, and the cheapest oil at too high temp.

(They think that higher temp = shorter frying time... )

Best Fish & Chips I've had was a chippie on the docks in Kristiansund(nearby town here in Norway)

They only make it out of freshly caught fish, and if you're lucky you may see someone in the back actually peeling potatoes.

Fish & Chips is a dish that's easy to prepare, but difficult to prepare well.

If they ask if you want Mayonnaise or Remoulade, the only correct answer is Remoulade.

(Basically, it's mayonnaise with flavour... )

I must confess...

My last few portions have all come from the freezers at the local stores, and were heated in my air fryer.

No oils were used or abused.

In other news...

Tomorrow Molde International Jaz Festival opens. Which means parking near the office will be impossible unless I get up way before the sun(and while I don't live far enough North to get the Midlight sun, it's still up at an way too early and ungodly hour)

Why the elf did they have to organise a Jaz festival so far from everything?

Back when it started we didn't even have an airport, so most artists landed in Oslo and took the slow train to Åndalsnes, and the bus and ferry from there. (It was an all-day trek, really)  Did it stop anyone?

No...

I think they actually liked it...

Jaz musicians are weird...

Well 8 day vacation ends tonight & I'm just now moving paints (actual colors & not just washes) into the garage so I can get some colors on RCon pieces. If I have time I'll try & get paint on weekly game pieces as well. They won't be fully painted but at least they won't be bare or primered pieces. I didn't get my computer desk assembled, just did stuff yesterday & today was spent on tryin to gather up paint + printing up 3d pieces as well. I didn't get my foam counts either. I'll be doing that in the next few days, as after I print off 2 pieces, I think I'll have everything I need for the RCon games. I do know I need a 4 inch tray. The big pieces. ::D:

Kinda looking forward to going back, hell gets me out of the house + hey just weeks closer to Tuesday, August 31st when my "fun" vacation starts.

(forgot to hit submit last night......)

Update: Co-worker called in due to a family emergency. It must be serious as this is the first time in my almost 28 years at work that he has called in to work. Sounds like his mom. He's getting close to 60, so I think his mom is in her 80s or close to em. Hope for the best for him.

Hour & half over thanks to a late truck. 330 am.........about normal these days...
