We use "it'll work perfectly for x project, and it was heavily on sale".  Hubby does this to me on occasion with my Steam wishlist, and has started doing such with models too.   (mainly gunpla, but also some scale models)

Not quite what happened.... (She read the forum and said 'Gimmee!')

She... squeaked... when she saw it.

Then got the gambling car to go with it. (If I had known about the gambling car, I would have gotten it at the same time.)

They have other 'electro-trains' as well.

I like a good dolmeth (the ones in the middle). I buy them when I take my grandma shopping. I was eating one in the car and she asked me what it was. I told her it was a stuffed grape vine leaf. She said it looked like dog poop. I said I think they taste like cheese. She tried one and decided they taste like poop too. She likes picked pig's trotters. There's no accounting for taste.

You have different kinds with different fillings.

These are with rice and a lemon/ herb dressing.

I've also eaten those filled with ground beef/tomato, my girl likes the ones with the rice best, I like both.

But as you say, no accounting to taste.

So I've been painting pretty much nothing but Star Wars Legion for the last 10 years since the pandemic began.  I know Legion is a slightly larger scale (nominally 1:48 scale) but it really struck me last night when I was going through my Bones 5 stuff.

I particularly enjoy the scammers that tell me that 'local law enforcement has been notified and are coming to you arrest you'.

Yeah, no. That's not how that works.

Got one of those calls last week. A lot of the time I don't answer my phone even when I'm sitting in the house. Just let the answering machine get it to screen calls. I was right beside the phone so grabbed it. A slightly computerized voice told me the authorities had been informed and I would be arrested unless I talked to the administrator. As I was hanging up it got angry and said, "you need to talk to the administrator NOW!!!" I don't care who you are if you get angry with me and try to give me orders I hang up. Works for pushy relatives, Jehova's Witnesses and computer bots.

Some times, if I have time, I'll press the button to talk to them and when they pick up, I'll say "This is Special Agent Jones. Who am I speaking to?"  Most of the time they're hanging up before I can finish talking, but the last time the guy yelled at me "Do you think I'm brocolling stupid?" to which I replied back the same.  Then he started ranting at me with even more profanity which I ignored until he hung up 15-20 seconds later.

For the health insurance and "free vacation" scam calls, I've been known to go to fakenamegenerator.com and use the randomly generated info found there to answer their questions.

Gonna take a nap, then when I wake up, hopefully will work on some RCon figures. Getting close!!

Sprayed a couple of miniatures this morning with Dullcoat + started measuring for foam when I finally order the stuff. At least Big River A has it. It's a couple bucks more then say small figure market, but the shipping will get it to allot faster then they would, so I say the trade off is fair. I think biggest mini I'm bringing down is a 4 inch width mini this year + there is a one that is 3 inches wide but it's pretty much as tall as the foam, luckily it's slim.
