Well, I'm sort of back to normal today, at least I'm not taking the "Did you see the dragon in the kitchen?" stuff, so that is an improvement. Strangely, I have a craving for Pop tarts...I haven't had a poptart in decades. At any rate, thanks for the well wishes.

I remember the big horse pills they gave Grump when his knee decided it wanted to be a grapefruit. The big ones were the pain killers.

I didn't know that Grump has a bullet hole in his kneecap.

Grump claims that he didn't either. <_<

But there it was on the X Ray.

He ended up taking only four of the thirty pills, he really didn't like the dragon in the kitchen. It's supposed to be on the PORCH!

Are you referring to rind in or rind out?  I was taught to serve ribeye (prime) roast with the fat rind towards the edge of the plate (so the fat prevents juices from accumulating at the edge of the plate and running off) and standing rib with the bone to the plate edge (so it doesnt stick into the other food on the plate or interfere with removal.)  is there another way to plate it that I don't recognize?

Not sure. That's why I was asking. But, sshe clarified that sometimes they've just got it backwards, which I would assume would be rind-in/out problem. Then she said sometimes it's upside down, which I don't get.

I've always considered this the proper presentation for a cut of Prime Rib:

The shape of the roast conforms [more or less] to the shape of the plate, leaving room for the potato and either vegetable or garnish.

She said she doesn’t know with bone in, but if the bone was out then it would be upside down.

No idea how to tell myself and she seems tired of the subject.

Presence is all you need to rule the world.

A dot or two in Dominate and Thaumaturgy are recommended as well.

Is there a bone in it?  I don't eat prime rib (I'm much more a burger type of guy) so don't know.  But, if there's a bone, then the shape could be what determines "right side up/down."  Also, some cuts of meat seem to have a slight angle to the edges (or we've got sloppy butchers).

The Saga of the Well continues; we're having trouble getting our hands on the engineer we need to survey the place and make a Plan so ... it's a thing.

The Footnote of the Snag is a little easier; that's just waiting on us to decide how we want to pay for it before they come out and do things that will bring the remains of the Snag and the Not-Yet-A-Snag down and clear the access road, which will make the next parts of the Saga of the Well that much smoother.

I may have outsize chonks of maple available at some point. They will probably not be seasoned. Bone dry, though. *sigh*

Everything is dry. I've never seen the yard look like this. It's .. crunchy. I'm not a fan (this is one of the many, many reasons I really don't like grass).

To add to my irritation, the Arbor Day Foundation or somebody with a very similar title sent me a 'please give us money!' packet. In return for money, they will send us trees. I was interested, until I looked the trees offered up. None of the offerings are native to my state. I am Unamused... and thus, unwilling to throw money at them. At some point, I will plant some trees (probably cherry, because nomnomnom), but that particular group can *censored!* my *redacted*. *grumble*

*snags a plate full of steak and wanders off, grumbling*

I'm pretty sure I'd remember being kneecapped. <_<

Yeah, it's a stellate hole, but....

Hmm...

I may have watched a YouTube video wherein Luke from Luke's APS painted a 15mm fantasy army and played a game of 15mm Warhammer Fantasy Battle.

I also may have dragged out my old 15mm fantasy models (used for a game called A Fist Full of Miniatures some 30 years ago), cleaned them and started re-basing them on magnetic self-adhesive tiles.

And I may have just ordered a bunch of flexible steel movement trays from Litko.

"You might very well think that; I couldn't possibly comment".

Cooked rice and it's drying now on a plate.

I will turn it into Nasi Goreng later for dinner.

Pork Loin Satey to go with it and sidedishes like Kroepoek, Seroendeng, Javaantjes, Cucumber and Sambal.

Nasi Goreng? My twisted mind made me visualize Hermann Goering on a plate with an apple in his mouth!

The names of the dishes sound Dutch or perhaps Indonesian. Just a guess on my part. Just did a quick search. Indonesian.
