There are only 50 days 'till Halloween.

Actually planning my one shot Halloween-ish D&D adventures right now (while watching the Ducks & Buckeyes football game). Currently it's a toss up between a vampire, a large squash-like critter & a undead owlbear. There can only be 2!! ^_^

Everybody expects a vampire; I'd go with the plant monster and the undead owlbear.

Although vampires ARE undead, you could go with a vampiric owlbear. That'd be a little out of the ordinary.

It has been a very long and rough week. My pupper passed away a couple nights ago. I am pretty upset that I wasn't there to be with him. He was a good boy.

But today I'm trying to get in a better mood. I've got a tattoo appointment at 4:30. I'm excited but probably not as much as I would have been otherwise.

Wait... Where did Saturday go?  *blinks a few times*

...So this is what it's like.  Not sure if I like it or not yet.  *laughs nervously*  sure hope it doesn't rain tomorrow, I get to haul in my Instacart order as well as go out and do laundry afterwards.  Yes, we do have a laundry room in the building, but sadly it's coin based, which means it doesn't take $20 bills...  Laundromat is faster and actually cleans things, it's just the six block walk, whee.

Welp. My co-worker had a positive test. And then her close co-worker has had a positive test. So all the tiny babies and crawlers are being quarantined until they test negative. Not sure about the tots.

My test was negative. And I still have work, I’m going to clean and sanitize everything. Should be fairly relaxing.

Today I learned the origin of the term "loo" for the proper English potty. It comes from the French term "Gardez l'eau" (Watch out, you, for the water), which they would apparently say before giving the chamber pot the old heave-ho out the window. The French, for their part, took the WC from the English "Water Closet" for their salle de bain. Cultural exchanges like this between the French and the English make one proud to be Canadian.

Since I have to clean tonight, I can't binge on any Star Trek because I'll just do that. But I discovered 48 Hours on Paramount+, so I can get my true crime fix and keep working. Maybe. If I don't change my mind and start watching Picard.

I ended up ordering a lot of eBay of Reaper stuff, so I could get some stuff that's currently out of stock, and I'm going to end up with three of Rosie. One I bought, another that was a freebee from Reaper, and now this one. Oh, wait, four actually. I forgot about the Bones version of her!

Sunday's stroll though the timeline for September 12th:

  • 1609 – Henry Hudson began his exploration of the Hudson River while aboard the Dutch East India Company's Halve Maen.

  • 1933 – Hungarian physicist Leó Szilárd, while waiting for a red light on Southampton Row in Bloomsbury, conceived the idea of the nuclear chain reaction.

  • 1959 – Bonanza premiered, the first regularly scheduled TV program presented in color.

Awww, my Zero Gravity Judge probably won't make it into Canada this month...  Of course, once I read that I actually breathed a sigh of relief, because now that I'm working it's taking me a lot longer to finish gunpla kits, so clearing a hole in the storage shelf will take a while longer...

I just hope I finish Wing Zero by then >.>;;;;   Soooooo many small parts!
