I'm working on this too. This weekend was drizzly and grey so I was in the house most of the time. Still never painted anything but spent a bunch of time digging through Battletech stuff with my oldest kid and Bones V stuff with my younger one. And a couple hours running in circles around the house chasing a screaming (happily) 4 year old. Not a bad way to spend a couple lazy days.

Well, I did make a little progress

I didn't get anything new started but at least a few things got finished.  I may have to rethink the bunny's eyes though, the purple did not come through well in the picture...

O_o  Where did the weekend go, I didn't even get like half the things I wanted to do done...  Oh well, such is life.  Kind of nice to a) know what day it is (more or less) and b) look forward to weekends again.

Going to take a few weeks to get back to bring used to planning time appropriately in order to get everything done though.

Your morning dose of historical happenings for September 13th:

  • 1541 – After three years of exile, John Calvin returned to Geneva to reform the church under a body of doctrine known as Calvinism.

  • 1898 – Hannibal Goodwin patented celluloid photographic film.

  • 1985 – Super Mario Bros. was released in Japan for the NES, starting the Super Mario series games.

I am pleased with myself. I finished a mini I’ve had sitting there for way too long and I started a mini I’ve been promising to paint for someone. It feels really good to paint again.

Today I am going to clean the daycare, but do it in a relaxed, non-hurried way, because I’m done with giving all my energy to that place and having none left over for the rest of my life.

Monday the 13th.  Surely that must be worse than Friday the 13th?

I've already found that parts I was supposed to install this morning are missing. So now I will spend more time driving to get the parts than I was supposed to spend on the entire install.

So yes

Sad react face because no food photo.

Here's today's lunch, a hearty veggie sausage stew with fresh baked rolls. Total comfort food, which is sorely needed because the brain weasels are running rampant today.

Going to try and paint today, my hands aren't feeling too good but I need to need to haul myself out of these doldrums somehow.

She's a good, generic utilitarian figure that lends herself to conversions.

I already put a raygun in one of their hands for Raygun Gothic conversion. Of the quick and dirty kind.

Per today's Oglaf, I'm definitely in the "mystery tube" camp. Turduken is just too much work, and both YPN and MOAS didn't really dispose of the evidence.

I'm in the "Your Problem Now" camp.

I'm loving Lower Decks!!

And very much looking forward to all the new Trek coming up! 🥰

I still don't like the idea of prequels for anything, much less Trek. However, while I did end up enjoying the first season of Discovery (all I've seen so far), I did have some issues with it. The first being the whole eye thing from the Mirror Universe. The Klingons upset me. And I don't like how Micheal gets back to being back into good standing in only one season. Mutiny is something I take a rather dim view of and takes a lot to get me to turn around on it. That said, I do like the character and look forward to watching more of that show.

Lower Decks is a great contrast to the other Trek that's out there right now and hits the right jokes. It's a bunch of nerds writing about a bunch of nerds, just in Starfleet. I really like Tendi and I want to see more of her. The doctor is... Probably my favorite character.

Thank you! This is why I have never consumed Taco Bell, the fear that it will rain destruction down on my plumbing, both bodily and domestically.

It's not that bad. It's not great but it won't mess you up too bad, so long as you don't eat too much of it. Just like most other Mexican food.

Been there, done that way too many times.

Another cool drizzly day and I'm trying to work up the energy to do anything except play on the computer. Not working so far but I may eventually tear my butt out of my recliner for awhile. It's nice on the rare occasion that my biggest worry for the day is where to be lazy.

I've only eaten Taco Bell a couple times in my life. It's edible but there are other better quality mexican fast food places around here now. Lately in the city nearest us we've been eating at a place called Guac. Pretty decent and you get a lot for the price. Fast food prices are rising and I find it annoying to pay what I did for a decent restaurant meal a couple years ago and walk away hungry.
