Well, not the worst news i could get but not the best either.  basically the tumor showed growth but there is no sign of spread so i will take my blessings as i get them.  The tumor is now about the size of a baseball (started 7 years ago as a walnut).  at least is doesnt show any sign of spreading.  they are temporally putting me on a heavier medication before moving me to an alternate med next month after it gets approved.  Such is the joy of being a chronic paitient, as i am sure many here know all to well.

Praying for you.

I guess something in the middle is to be preferred to the "really bad news" .  Hope for the best, plan for the worst, and be thankful for anything in the middle.

Fingers crossed that the meds will go some good.

Appreciate it.  Problem is I never feel better than when my meds aren't working.  Way too much energy and drive 😀   but I'm still here and still able to enjoy life and try new things and with my new meds my immune system just got a bunch of new weapons and issued a draft notice conscripting all other cell production.   We will have to see what happens...

That is pretty much how I live, well that and as my better half puts it being too stubborn to die.

Me, I prefer to think of it as a vested interest in seeing what happens next....

Accidentally?  Even dad's caught on I do it deliberately to irk her, especially when she's pushed too far on something that isn't her business.

On another note, someone in the Voron Discord does airplane work in the Netherlands, and when someone asked what they were certified in... The answer was "Certified Break Taker".  When I told my dad this, being a Director of Maintenance at an air ambulance / VIP airline, and liking the idea of living there playfully said "so, uh, where do I send my resume?  I'd love that job"

Eberron Air Skiff Races?

Ran across some 3D printable "Racing Skiffs" and realized that might be a sport in Eberron, among the monied class.

Snooty yacht racing jerks, taking to the skies!

And maybe a Flywayman, living the life, on other peoples wealth.

With experimental alchemical engines?

At one point, wasn't there mention of a ring of elemental fire to go with the Arcane models?

*EDIT* Found a ring of fire on Thingiverse. ::):

I help you hope it will not spread and that the growth will be slow without causing damage.

Also hope that they will find a way to remove it safely or cure it somehow one day.

  • 1915 – The Empire Picture Theatre (now The New Empire Cinema), the oldest running cinema in mainland Australia, opened in Bowral, New South Wales.

  • 1978 – Muhammad Ali outpointed Leon Spinks in a rematch to become the first boxer to win the world heavyweight title three times at the Superdome in New Orleans.

Just when I’m really getting excited about hobbying again, I’m having a major carpal tunnel flare up. I couldn’t even brush my hair this morning. So now I’m cycling hot and cold packs on my arm in the hopes that I’ll be able to use my arm. Sigh.

And we have 3 babies with covid.

So, my story from yesterday:

I ended up telling one of my bosses about what *might* happen in relation to my mom and me having to uproot everything. His response was something to the effect of "Since we've moved to merit raises (cue me trying not to laugh), you can ask them for more money, since you've been here since forever. As for the Uber/Lyft thing, they have a subscription service, monthly pay thing that let's you schedule rides. If you ask, I'll bet they'll pay for that, too. And just tell them that you want to go to part time." My reaction was something like this:  No, they're not going to bite. They will beg me and offer me things to stay but, um, they can attempt procreation with a chainsaw. I've been done with them for a while and this is the easy way out. Plus, they're either renege on what they promised or wouldn't offer me enough. And I can't work full time AND help my mom. It's just... Not going to happen.

As for the whole situation, apparently surgery was mentioned. To what extend has not yet been discussed. So... I'm thinking it's going to be worst case. It sucks but I'll deal.

Convention prep and the con kinda took over, and we expected that. We were not expecting to have to switch insurances and be without my meds for a few weeks. I've just been sleeping and/or in pain, so I'm kinda at negative amounts of spoons and unable to focus. It's incredibly frustrating going back to how I was a couple years ago before testing all of these meds and finally finding one that worked for me. Hopefully we get the insurance info soon and I can get back to the shop, gaming, and art.

I see a few of us are struggling, but I'm hoping we make it through. <3

Hey, my first night off from work since coming home from ReaperCon! I had to work 8 straight nights to re-align my schedule back to where it normally is. Tonight is FLGS game night, so tech I'm not home till later but hey at least I'm gaming. I didn't game last week at all as I was "gamed" out from RC, I had a recovering raw throat (not sick, just overworked) & of course it was my 2nd night back at work & I didn't feel like gathering everything up for the game that night, speaking of which:

I pride myself of using minis for all of D&D games. I make the effort to try & match the description in an adventure for a mini or at least get it real close, tonight I'll be using either dry erase tokens or just bare base sizes with different color of metallic Sharpie on them. Mainly cause I didn't feel like trying to find the right minis + tonight's adventure I have no idea how the players will react as overall the adventure is suppose to be a diplomatic mission for them, but players being players who knows how it will go down, ha ha.

I'm running the 2nd adventure in the Ghost of Saltmarsh campaign "Danger @ Dunwater" ie the lizardfolk lair adventure. About the only sure thing I know is a Sahuagin ambush at sea at the start & the end mission of Thousand Teeth & the giant constrictor snakes.

Either way, at least it'll be easier transporting things up there tonight + it'll be nice to my regular group of guys I game with at the store.
