Randomness XVIII: Ex-Vee-Triple-Eye

Recommended Posts

Grump and me tried an experimental Mordheim scenario last night, he was testing balance.

One sode was protecting Imperial artillery, the other trying to silence the mortars.

The mortars were firing into ANOTHER game, not the one being played on our table.

It took me five turns to shut them all down, one a turn for the last three turns of the game.

That would be nine shells falling onto an allie's table. ::o:

Oh, yeah, this time we have allies. Groups of two or three that get points as a team.

And one of the Event cards is Treachery, which allows someone to swtich teams, and stab their buddy in the back. Stabbity McStabbityback!

That actually sounds like a pretty cool scenario.

There goes my productive evening, watched far too many Youtube vids of a guy performing metal covers of random songs.

Not sure why as I'm not really into metal.

Was it Leo Moracchioli? (Frog Leap Sudios?) I love the metal cover he does of 'Africa' by Toto. The song is really good, plus some of the goofy stuff he does in the video is hilarious.

That's my problem, I just need to get a super suit.

You ain't the only one. I'm not in terrible shape but a few pounds less fat and more muscle would be nice. I guess another bonus of a suit like that would be you'd probably sweat off a few pounds while wearing it.

Went to the FLGS that's not exactly local on the way home from my neurologist appointment. Haven't been there since before the pandemic. We had a 50$ish credit on our store card and ended up adding 11$ today. So now we have 60$ish in credit. The person who checked us out wanted to know what I was painting (I was buying paint) and I ended up telling them about my painting IG account. They'd complained that no one ever has pictures of things they are painting.

Got the paints, mostly DC'd or LE stuff. They did have a handful of Heavy Gear paints but I succeeded my will check and did not throw them all in the basket. Husband got an L5R book and we got a room escape box thing for our anniversary since there's not a whole lot we can go out and do at this point.

Well friends and neighbors, here's the latest in the ongoing story of "fun" with Liberty Mutual.

They skipped 3 Disability Pension payments in a row and suddenly one showed up middle of last week.

According to my attorney's secretary, [as of last Friday] the real one, not the does not communicate well with clients one that they just fired, Liberty Mutual is claiming my bank refused to accept the electronic funds transfer.  So we made a fast trip to SoCal, had a face to face with the bank and they say "no, didn't happen" and provided a transaction log for the account to prove it.

So tomorrow morning I get to call my attorney and call a "red flag on the field" plus a "yellow card" and "15 minutes in the penalty box", all at the same time on Liberty Mutual.

I want to see the stupid fat bird with the sunglasses turning on a spit over hot coals.  And you can put his sidekick with the toothpick on the next spit over.

GEM

Who will be mentioning the 895 mile trip, plus hotel bill, plus expenses in order to talk to my banker.

I’d be cool with being silver if it were more visible. It would make my faux pirate costume more convincing.

My first crown was gold. It makes me giggle every time I think about the fact, though unfortunately it's a molar in the very back where nobody can see it usually. What a waste of a perfectly good pirate accessory.

Huh. I didn't realize I'm as old as Mario.

I'm...not sure if that makes me feel old or not.

A very interesting article, which I could comment on more coherently if I weren't so tired.

Work has been hitting me like a truckload of bricks, and I'm starting to question what reality is. Or isn't. I suspect there's a fair amount of wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey stuff involved, though.

Huzzah!

Yep, he just seems to be having so much fun making his vids that they're infectiously cheerful.

Can I interest you in some other strange music channels?

Always up for more wacky cover artists.
