A temporary housing situation has been found for the aforementioned cat.

I have been writing again. I want to do NaNoWriMo again this year but don't think I'll have time in November so I just started in the last couple of days. So far it's been a lot of finding all my notes I made last year and compiling them and then doing some more world building.

well that was weird. I had to get one of my players to leave the table and go to the hospital because he had some nasty untreated dog bites.

Yeah, I'd place that at 8.9 on my Weird-Crap-O-Meter. (It goes up to 11.)

The Auld Grump - one point lower than the kid in Boy Scouts that had to be rushed to the hospital to have a hot dog surgically removed from his arm. Different Troop - but it turned out that a hot dog, fired from a smooth bore musket, does not go *SPLAT!* in an amusing fashion when it hits someone - it penetrated.

That actually sounds like a pretty cool scenario.

Modified from a scenario that I wrote for Warhammer 40K, 3rd edition. (My favorite edition of the game.)

Ran it twice, swapping sides, along with the companion scenario.

The first time was my Reiklanders against Megan's  Chaos.

The second time was my Undead vs Megan's Reiklanders - we are waiting on a 3D printing KS to fulfill - she will have an entirely female Reiklander force, including the surprisingly attractive ogre.

I had a summer job doing programming for an outfit that needed medical records checked for surface accuracy, in 1981.  I see the ICD-9-CM diagnosis code system we were working with then has been upgraded to ICD-10-CM sometime in the intervening 40 years, so perhaps they expanded on the basis of unusual incidents like that?

Ah. You may have caught a Graboid...

A while back I mentioned something about the Fat Little Birds getting into it with an abnormally large earthworm...the earthquakes and eruptions perhaps have awakened either the Graboids, or the primordial Fire Worms that kicked the elf out of the lost continent of Mu are back for round 2...

The government of the Canary Islands has been banning the use of private drones to observe the La Palma eruption, and the last public update on ground deformation was a couple days ago at 30 cms. They're trying to hide the return of....

RODAN!!!

After all, if extraordinarily large earthworms are wiggling about, then obviously an extraordinarily large bird won't be far behind them...this also explains why the chickens have been worshipping the volcano with unusual fervor.

Yup, new job is kicking me good (but I'm catching up faster) and it is leaving me tired, especially on 11 hour days like yesterday (plus another 2.5 hours in the bus total)...  But that first cheque was definitely worth it, especially with it coming out a lot larger than expected...
