Then I baked some cookies... Oatmeal scotchies followed by cardamom lemon zest cookies.  both will be made again but i think i need to make the cardamom/lemon ones bigger!

I think the scotchies are the generals and the cardamom cookies are infantry!

How much heavy snowfall do you usually get? Most of the time rain is only a problem when it either comes down in gigantic amount or at the proper angle to worm it's way it's way in. Snow and ice build up on the other hand, as I learned last year, is an absolute elf. Right now I've got to get the flat garage roof re tarred, and get the sealant down over the angle in the roof over the living room, hopefully I can get to this in the upcoming week.

We usually heavy little snowfall, last year we had a few days of heavier snow but that was it.

I applied Bison Rubber Seal Tape over the Sealant..double measures.

Also I will apply sealant on some other suspicious spots and then later I will seal from the inside, repair the small wooden slat, seal that off and put in a new one besides it.

Not my hobby....

In better news, I collected hazelnuts for my squirrel friends.

And dinner was made

Rice, Smoor Djawa ( stewed beef Indonesian style) and Foe Yong Hai ( Chinese style omelette with veggies and ham in a sweet sauce)

Sunday's jaunt through the timeline for September 26th:

  • 1687 – The Parthenon in Athens, used as a gunpowder depot by the Ottoman garrison, was partially destroyed after being bombarded during the Siege of the Acropolis by Venetian forces during the Morean War.

  • 1905 – Albert Einstein published the third of his Annus Mirabilis papers, introducing the special theory of relativity.

  • 1983 – Soviet Air Force officer Stanislav Petrov identified a report of an incoming nuclear missile as a computer error and not an American first strike, preventing a retaliatory nuclear strike, and, in all likelihood, World War III.

Well my FLGS is participating in FreeRPGDay next month (Sat 16th). I will be getting things before that day, so I can help the store promote the products that day. Pretty much 3 of us are gonna be at the store & if we get enough people to run a game, we'll run it. This year's offerings look pretty good too. I think I'm gonna run the Humblewood adventure as I've been curious on that one for some time. I'm taking that night off so I don't need to rush home around 6 that night so I can sleep before work, so I might run last year's offering of Humblewood as well, or maybe something new from this year's stuff.

First... YE GODS WHERE DID ALL THESE EMOJIS COME FROM?!?!?!?!😨

 So, um, yeah...

Jack's puter drowned when his basement flooded a few weeks back... :zombie:

Jack had to pour water out of the case. Both it and the external hard drive were close enough to the floor to get soggy. Dried them out for a week in a bucket of rice but neither is working. Hoping the techs at Staples can pull at least something off the drives when I can afford to bring them in next paycheck.

Jack pulled 10 hours of OT this week and 17 the week before that. So Jack's OT paid for his new puter (was $499, on sale for $349) but Jack was still behind on his bills so he had to pay them all in the same week, which makes his wallet cry.

Anyway, I's back. I'll assume that anyone who actually noticed I was gone missed me, lol. (With every shot so far, right?) ::D:

Windows 10 sucks.

If you have a fan, like a box fan, take all the covers off the case and set the fan in front of it on the lowest setting and let it blow air through the case for a few days.  Hopefully the water in the basement didn't have "stuff" in it that has or will dry onto the components and cause a short circuiting condition.  If that's the situation, you are going to need professional help with professional chemicals, and hopefully they can salvage most of the goodies.

Good Luck
