That's a tad cheap for a Friday shift, I'd be expecting the soul and their firstborn at that point.

Not if you know what child labor laws are and raising kids is like.

For a Friday off, I wouldn't blame the parent to push the child into the deal anyway.

Tuesday Timeline Trivia for September 28th:

  • 1542 – Juan Rodríguez Cabrillo of Portugal arrived at what is now San Diego, California. He was the first European in California.

  • 1867 – Toronto became the capital of Ontario, having also been the capital of Ontario's predecessors since 1796.

  • 1928 – Scottish physician and microbiologist Alexander Fleming noticed a bacteria-killing mold growing in his laboratory, discovering what later became known as penicillin.

Seems like a good time to wheel out this old thing about how many things were invented by Scots ::D:

(We're also REALLY good at self promotion, so expect about half of these to be false/debatable)

Not, overall, a bad idea.

I did manage to scare up a collection of prompt lists, in addition to the Official prompt list. I've got five, six if you count Drawtober's leisurely prompt list.

The official list, Drawloween, a list from smalltownspells, who did the Woodland Magic prompts, and the two off Twitter, which I very carefully saved the graphics for.

Was kind of hoping for another 'uncommon word' prompt list; that one was fun, but I haven't seen the person who came up with it on Discord for a long time. 😕

I guess Andrea Holmes likes birds..?

Thorne are you going to start a 2021 thread for this? I think you should.

Can it just be the soul of the firstborn too?  I don't want to have to deal with the whole kid.

Probably for the best, the last time one of my colleagues brought a child to work they told him that I painted minis and I had to listen about space marines for most of the shift.

Still working on that same site as yesterday.  We have identified that the site router is blocking all outgoing traffic to the range of IP addresses that the customer has.  So his one site won't talk to the other four sites, but we can make it talk to anywhere else.

Even the CenturyLink and Meraki techs can't figure out what is going wrong.

I was just looking up the name of the actress who played Ivanova on Babylon 5 (spotted her on an episode of 911) and found an article about the series:

'Babylon 5' reboot in development with original series creator J. Michael Straczynski at the helm

Not sure you can capture lightning in a bottle twice, but I guess Michael would like to try.

My big concern is that The CW will turn it into another teen angst show.

Same here. It has to beat those nutters trying to write a whole novel in a month.

The way I do Dracovember is to stage Kaladrax in some sort of ridiculous situation (facedown in the halloween candy, playing my son's video games, looking guilty with a pile of milk duds trailing from her backside across the kitchen table etc) and then posting the pics on Facebook under the year's Dracovember album.  After Thanksgiving she likes to hide in the Christmas tree or hang from the mistletoe.

Have you ever considered using Raisinettes?
