redambrosia
So, I was having an awful day. I didn’t sleep well, my body hurt, my emotional batteries were drained. I had to leave work this morning because my state of mind was not a good one for caring for babies (wanting to scream at and slap an infant is terrible feeling). My day and mood didn’t really improve after I got home. I went back to work to close in the afternoon, still feeling awful, but with my emotions more under control. When I got home my MIL was here, because she brought over a bunch of clothes she picked up on her recent thrift store binge. For me she had several skirts, including this gorgeous floor length silk wrap skirt. Its silly, but that skirt alleviated my foul mood. It swishes when I walk. The silk feels amazing in my legs. It’s all sort of beautiful colors. Such a relief not to be in a foul mood all evening with my family.

I may have to don an eyepatch, get a parrot, and put my engineering degree in reverse. Had to do that for a Saab Drakken flight test once, so I know I can get close. But… if I am going to put that many hours into getting a spacecraft mini CAD’d up, it should probably be one free of someone else’s IP so I can put it up on Thingiverse or MMF. Maybe get enough scratch to buy a beer and a pizza.

GEM A stomacher is a panel that goes under the dress and fills in the V shaped opening in front, over the chest and stomach. Common article of clothing in the 18th century. Here's a photo, the white center panel is a stomacher: https://thepragmaticcostumer.files.wordpress.com/2013/05/11_xl_ac04854.jpg?w=656 Usually each half of the dress fastens invisibly, or cleverly hidden on each side, but if there were visible laces (like that rendering above) the stomacher would be under it. The big oval thing is abominable, sloppy design. Someone made an oval shape to be a brooch at her neck, enlarged it and stuck it on her stomach, and enlarged it again and added it there for some reason. 15 minutes with Google and you could come up with something better. Thank goodness Reaper has sculptors that use sources and have experience with design. 12

Green Eyed Monsty
Friday October 1st: 50 years ago Walt Disney World opened to the public. Started as "The Florida Project" by Walt Disney himself, the beginnings were all done in secret so large tracts of land could be acquired without running the price up. When plans were finally revealed, The Walt Disney Company held title to square miles of Central Florida "swamp land" which were transformed into theme parks, hotels, and a series of lakes. Unfortunately, Walt Disney didn't live to see the opening, having succumbed to lung cancer in late 1966. GEM

And what the heck is the oval thing at her crotch? An egg sac? A soup bowl? WWF trophy belt? I’d blame the influence of Warcraft designers. They like to put large weird things at the waste.

ManvsMini
Friday! New month! Let's start the trivia for October 1st: 331 BC – Alexander the Great defeated Darius III of Persia in the Battle of Gaugamela, effectively leading to his conquest of the Persian Empire. 1964 – Japanese Shinkansen ("bullet trains") began high-speed rail service from Tokyo to Osaka. 1975 – Muhammad Ali defeated Joe Frazier in the "Thrilla in Manila" boxing match, the culmination of a three bout rivalry between the two. 12

GEM Yep, but in that case the great in great dragon is not descriptive, it's just part of it's name. You could have a lousy little great dragon.
